The greatest is ezzard Charles, comfortably.

The best, however, is Jones Jr. Noone in lhw history would I favour over him.

    Archie Moore for me.

I won't argue with anyone that says Ezzard Charles, I just feel Archie is a little more accomplished, and I feel Moore was a late bloomer and his 3 losses to Charles occurred before he hit is prime and Charles was well and truly into his, also the Moore that Charles beat would also lost to guys like Lenoard Morrow, Henry Hall, Lloyd Gibson and Clinton Baker. He was good back then but would go onto become even better.

He went onto have a decade long reign and had a dozen or so wins over argubaly some of the top 30 175lbs in history. He won his belt at 36 over Hall of Famer Joey Maxim and also picked up victories over fellow HOFers Farmers Lloyd Marshall, Jimmy Bivins, Holman Williams, Harold Johnson and Boldo Olson.

One of the quickest thinkers in the ring and a terrific KO artist at the weight too.

Head to head quite possibly Jones yes, but didn't accomplish enough at the weight (I also think he was more unbeatable at 168)

But I also think Lennox Lewis would beat anyone head to head at Heavyweight

Nobody who knows **** about boxing is going to vote for Roy as the best of all time in the division (it's not a head to head debate), you can barely make an argument for him being top 10.

    Regarding his losses to Charles:

In moore's resume there are three groups that every opponent can be placed in.

    1) they fought him once
    2) they lost to him
    3) they're called ezzard Charles.

He accomplished a great deal, just not enough for me to make him top 5. Jones is in my top ten ten though. And there's no one I'd pick to beat him.

Ezzard Charles has the highest number of wins against top-level opposition. I don't even see this as very close. Archie Moore is the best KO artist of all time, but he couldn't get past two guys (Ezzard Charles and Eddie Booker) despite fighting them 3 times each.

Granted, Charles never fought Booker, but he did beat Charley Burley twice at MW, a guy that even Ray Robinson wanted no part of.

I voted Michael Spinks, but wouldn't argue between Charles, Moore and Spinks.

As for personal favourite to watch it has to be Bob Foster!
