Yes, but that same trainer let him drop his left constantly and now hes paying for it. Three months time isnt going to fix that and he will get punished again for it.

Pavlik again, he did it the first time and the possibility of it happening again is higher than a taylor win.. i picked taylor the last time. couldnt believe what happened

Im gone go out on a limb and pick Taylor. After reviewing the fight I noticed that Taylor simply chose the hard route while fighting Pavlik. He has more options which I think he will utilize in the rematch. If he boxes Pav in the earlie rounds and takes the fight past the 7th round, which is uncharted territory for Pavlik, I think he can drown him. Pavliks a big middleweight and im not sure he can go a full 12. For Taylor to do this though his got to fight a disciplined fight, but he can do it.

You said it very well - Taylor would need the perfect fight to beat Pavlik. And that's exactly what Taylor is not capable of doing, he has the talent but not the mental ability to use his talent to the max. Not something he can learn at his age either.

:thumbsup excellent post... both fighters are looking great..the 166lbs. is going to do both good especialy kelly who is and looks in great shape and healthy,,,taylor though i think is still struggling to make even 166...whats scary is pavlik is and looks more relaxed on this fight..and no its not his ego because he does not want that 0 to be a 1...kelly does not take this fight lightly and his training is harder and unreal to watch..as i said before taylor will go in with one thought and that is to knock kelly out..the bad thing is he will get hit with pavs right and go back and back and that will be it...3rd round kelly knocks taylor out

Some folks point to that 2nd round as if it indicated how close Taylor was to winning the fight. From another angle, that stupid mistake Pavlik made in 2nd round perhaps prevented the fight from being a completely one - sided blowout. Pavlik won the first round, Steward told this to Taylor in the corner, I don't care what the scorecards said. Pavlik was clearly forcing his gameplan on Taylor, who had his moments in the first, but was nervous and all over the place in terms of ring generalship. The knockdown and time it took Pavlik to recover gave Taylor some important time off the pressure that Pavlik put on him. Who knows, without making such a mistake, Pavlik could have won the first three rounds clearly and Taylor being the mental basket case he is could have lost all focus and be blown out in the 4th.

you know what you are probably right no one looks at it that way...and no matter what people say on this post the fact is taylor had every chance of keeping pavlik down and didn't...and they say pavlik was beaten so bad in the 2nd well then how great is he that he finished with a knock out

you dont care what the score cards say, but there what counts. with your logic, if taylor doesnt make the stupid mistake he did in the 7th, he cruises to victory, which is what hes gonna do in this fight.

I like Taylor, but I just rewatched the first fight and he was taking far too many clean shots. He can't avoid Pavliks straight right at all. I'm taking Pavlik but I'll be going for Taylor.
