Who's legacy is greater ODLH or PBF?

The funniest thing about everything is that people say Oscar lost most of his biggest fights, yet some of his average fights are considered big fights for most other fighters.

 

Legacy goes to who fought the most greats. Oscar fought them, he didn't beat them but he fought them. Floyd has not. Oscar wins this easily. More than what the poll numbers are saying.

 

If we re talking about legacy and legacy only. The answer is De La Hoya. This dose not mean that he is a better boxer or has a better resume. They are both outstanding boxers and have great resumes. De La Hoya stands above Mayweather in terms of legacy. He has had a greater impact on boxing in and out of the ring where Mayweather's impact has mainly been in the ring.
When it comes to legacy there are very few boxers who top the Golden Boy.
Ali, both Sugar Ray's and perhapps Duran have the international clout that De La Hoya has. There are boxers who have gained strong national fallowings such as Pacquiao, and Chavez.
In terms of legacy De La Hoya is very hard to beat.

 

Floyd will go down as the greater boxer whether y'all want to believe it or not. I don't congratulate fighter for fighting the best but losing to them. Sorry. Plus floyd already beat him anyway. People say floyd fought an old de la hoya but were floyd and de la hoya ever in the same weight class?

IMO Floyd does. How many p4p fighters have each fighter beaten in their respective primes?

The Marquez win for Floyd IMO is the only weak one there, if you want to say Mosley and Oscar where old then you have got to say that about Oscars win over Chavez, Whittiker.

Id say on wins there close, On resume Oscar is miles ahead

 

Oscar has a much better resume.


But Floyd has the better legacy.

ODLH took on the greater challenges, made bigger fights, there's really no contest here. If you don't like it, tell your boy Floyd that his legacy should have been more important to him than his 0.

 

ODLH was shot, Hatton above his natural weight, Mosley shot. One of his wins v JLC is very debateble. PBF's best wins are Hernandez, Castillo and Corrales.

 

Looks like he was referencing Hatton's weight, not Floyd's. Obviously Floyd has shown he can fight very well above 140. No one can say the same for Hatton.

You idiot, he didn't beat them. You are condoning failure. Name one person who de la hoya beat in their prime that is better than who floyd beat. Floyd will go down as the greater fighter.
