no comparison what guerrero did was a ***** move ortiz took ALOT of punishment, knockdowns, bleeding and swollen to say they both quit and have it mean the same thing is alot of bull****
I think the better comparison is between Ortiz and his boss Oscar since they took some punishments before quitting... Who's more of a quitter: Ortiz or DelaHoya? .
THE TWO BIGGEST QUITTERS TO ME WAS AJ BANAL AND LUMQAT THE FIGHTER THAT ARCE MADE HIM SAY NO MAS. last night GUERRRRERO CUT WOULD HAVE GOT WOSRE I DONT BLAME HIM.......:good
a small cut? Didnt the ghost get like 28 stitches? All Guerrero did was say he couldnt see.........Ortiz not only turned his back on the ref and shook his head that he was done, but didnt argue at all with the doctor, and then got on mic and said he wasnt about to take a beating like that and would never fight until he went out on his back! Ortiz is done as far as I am concerned!
In some ways i can understand Ortiz but not Guerrero, and i can't believe some of you are actually defending him.. **** that, that cut wasn't that severe where the fight should have been stopped. IT was a minor cut.. Look at Vitali/Lewis. He had a cut that was a size of a small ***** yet he was begging for more.. I used to like Guerrero but i dont know about him no more.
Guererro was much worse. He gave up after a minor cut in the opening rounds. He lied to the ref and said he couldn't see! Every fighter knows once you tell the ref you can't see, he's gotta stop the fight. Guererro was fighting a slickster who had the style to give him fits, and he knew after the first round it was gonna be a long night. Guerrero quit. There's no way around it. And then he comes on FNF weeks later and blames the ref for stopping it early and that he wanted to continue! The Ghost knows he quit that night but no fighter will ever fess up to quitting. You can argue for Ortiz. He took a severe beating and the doctor and ref waived it off. Though you can tell Ortiz was ready to quit even if the doctor and ref hadn't stopped it.
