That’s right and today he would not be a big guy, his game revolved around making a guy reach and pot shotting… his style just wouldn’t transfer very well.
So what if he ‘doesn’t fight small’ or pulls back? Jones had his own style as well and was one of the best ever
Because Joshua and Fury couldn't use their size against Usyk they don't know how? How many opponents did Foreman beat that were bigger then him again? Liston jab was okay but he didn't have much craft behind it hence why he struggled with good mobile boxers. Usyk is a nightmare matchup for both Liston and Foreman and tbh neither of them are harder fights for Usyk then Fury and Joshua.
If someone can watch the Machen fight and see Liston as anything more than a decent-good contender today I’d be shocked, Usyk would F that guy royally.
Before his break Liston, Moore, Williams, Folley, Patterson, Cooper, Terrell, that’s before his most famous wins when he’d lost his legs through not fighting for 3 years, not bad eh ?
A fighter who's bigger, can move well, and a southpaw so would take away his jab? Yeah, Usyk would be one of Liston's worst matchups doesn't even have a punchers chance here since I doubt he punches harder then most of the SHWs Usyk fights today.
I actually thought Usyk coming along was a good thing and put this stupid super heavy era to bed, but it actually seems to have made things worse, Usyk isn’t superman you know
So a bunch of LHWs and small HWs most of whom were well past their best? Yet today is the weak era........
He's very good yes and should get the proper respect he deserves rather then being dismissed because he fought in a "weak" era that realistically would **** on most eras you consider stronger H2H.
