Beterbiev and Golovkin are both fighters with aggressive styles and devastating power, but who's more skilled between them? I say Golovkin, and it's not particularly close. Golovkin has a better jab, better counter-punching ability, better head movement, and is better at using angles.
Golovkin clearly, Golovkin is also the better counterpuncher, better footwork and balance but Beterbiev has more power and better infight skills
Beterbiev is more defensively responsible. Beterbiev is no defensive wizard, but you dont see him getting hit as much as you would expect from so called crude brawler.
GGG Has more ring general ship than Artur, he can change the game plan on the fly ,then get back to it. I would say determination & grit is level...to very able fighters, no gimmicks needed...
Is he? GGG is very good defensively, much better than Beterbiev. Golovkin sometimes goes head hunting against lesser opponents but as we saw in both Canelo fights GGG's defense is very subtle and impressive
Golovkin, it's fairly obvious. GGG can do it all - box off the front or backfoot, box technically or slug as needed. People criticize his defence but his defence is actually quite good and often quite subtle. Look at slow motion replays of Golovkin and punches that looked like they were landing are often slipped or picked off on gloves or elbows. He becomes exponentially better the more that you watch of him. Now I'm not calling Beterbiev a crude brawler by any means. He sometimes looks it but a closer look reveals that he's got a method to his madness. He actually mostly throws arm punches, and it's insane how much power the Beast is able to generate with punches that are not the optimum technique for punching with power. He's able to launch trip-hammer blows endlessly without losing his balance, or tiring, which in itself is something very rare in boxing. Artur likewise has an educated attack, mixing up body and head shots beautifully. He's really like a jackhammer tearing holes into his opponents until they crumble. He does what he does very well. All respect to him. But for all-round versatility, it's got to be Golovkin.
