Ggg has that come forward style susceptible to a monstrous uppercut to stop him in his tracks, but that's whst he wants you to do, he's willing to take that risk to counter himself. Kov outboxed the master boxer Bhops using Dawson's blueprint, but I feel Bhops most likely his resistance to clean shots especially a big puncher like Kov is not that good. Pascal the iron chinned hommie proved Kov is legit. Kov is almost like a white Tommy Hearns, at long range he is unstoppable. I accidentally picked Ggg, but atm Kov is clearly more unstoppable, look who the hell he beat!
I agree with this, but tbf to GGG he was in 1st gear in those fights. so not sure how much of him genuinely couldnt evade the punches and how much he wanted to goad them into a fight. I think Krusher is harder to outbox due to his technical pressure and strength.
You know, as a fan of both fighters myself, I don't agree with that. Both GGG and Kovalev is yet to face the best opposition in their respective divisions - Stevenson, Biev and Ward for Kovalev and Quillin, Lee and perhaps Canelo for GGG. Kovalev fighting 50 year old Bhop was like GGG to fight Sergio Martinez at the time Cotto fought him. I doubt anyone would give Sergio the slightest of chances. And I don't think Pascal or Mohammedi is more dangerous than Lemieux. All in all, I don't think the level of their opposition is as far apart as it's suggested to be, so far (assuming GGG gets past Lemieux).
Wrong BHop beat 3 guys around Kovalev's age with the greatest of ease, and those wins are comparable to Stevenson's recent competition, and Hopkins is still capable of competing at the highest level of the sport, whereas Sergio Martinez struggled mightily against Murray because he couldn't hardly walk anymore. Pascal is far more skilled than Lemieux and unlike David actually has some notable wins. I love David but aside from his power he has nothing that will ultimately bother GGG.
