I can't see a future for him at SMW, unless he stays in germany figthing nobodyes, and thats what i think will happen, milking the German market.
A figth against Kessler would be great, but i doubt Sauerland will make it. They will loose a cash cow (AA)
Well, the 2 options that would make the most sense are Sturm or a rematch with Stieglitz (possibly both back to back if he can get past the first fight). I guess if he got past both then a possible fight with Pavlik after that (even though it obviously wouldn't mean anywhere near as much as it would have 3-4 years prior...and really I just don't see it happening). It will be interesting to see how his defenses go. He's obviously not much of a SMW, so it's quite possible Sauerland matches him extremely carefully. To be fair to Abe, if he did have weak defenses in Germany, at least he didn't **** an entire career away doing it. He dropped his IBF middleweight belt to fight and moved up a weight class to fight much better competition than he was when he was a middleweight (and fighting on the road). He also probably shorted himself money by fighting the second fight with Miranda in Florida just so he could fight in America. So, in my opinion his heart was in the right place the last few years but now that he's won a title at SMW his promoters might put a stop to that.
I'd like to see Pavlik get the shot, but there's no way Suaerland would let it happen. It'll be Sturm and then fringe contender after fringe contender until Golovkin or Chavez force the issue and take the title from Abe's cold dead hands.:deal
Sturm is bullshitting about goin to 168 to fight AA. the best fight we could hope for is AA vs Kessler
