What's that magnificent man doing these days? I think he deserves a big fight, but who's out there?

    1) Khan: Khan keeps saying that if he doesn't get the Garcia rematch then there's nobody else to fight at 140, but Marquez is probably the best man in the division.

    2) Bradley: Another good fight for 140 if Bradley wants it. I can see this one being immensely entertaining both action and skill-wise.

    3) Pacquiao: Hate to say it but it's legit. Most people think he won the last fight and he STILL doesn't have closure. Make the fight somewhere in Europe with completely neutral judges and let the final chapter be written.

Anyone else? Has he announced anything at all?

  2. he just announced that he's willing to face bradley or garcia in the fall if he cant fight pacquiao.

Ah. Well hopefully the Bradley fight would be at 140. The Danny Garcia fight is just OKAY, but Marquez wins that pretty easily.

Crossing fingers for Bradley or Pacquiao.

    Pacquiao 4 in Mexico.

Morales in Mexico, his loss to DG didn't look so bad after what DG did to the #1 140 pounder.

Danny Garcia @ 140 PR VS Mexico

Broner @ 140 GBP would have to throw a lot of money to JMM to make that fight... and they definitely could. But it wouldn't be soon IMO, maybe if they rush him to a 135 BELT and he winds spectacularly, then they can offer him a 140 Title fight Vs JMM late next year.

Crossing fingers for Marquez vs Pacquiao? Why? It's going to be the same exact fight as you've seen the last time. Nothing changes with the two. Those guys fought three times already. It's time to call it quits. I would rather see Marquez vs Garcia or Marquez vs Bradley.

Well, as a fan of Marquez I want to see him get the vindication he craves. Besides, it's going to be a good fight anyway. Pacquiao has lost a lot of killer instinct lately but I think I remember him saying he's going to be aggressive next time around. If Pac comes to fight it will be good.

I'd love him to fight Rios, but Garcia looks the likely option for me.

Can Marquez still make 135? At this stage in his career I wouldn't think he would cut any more weight ( unless he still can make 135 easy) & I think @ 140 he looks good for his age. So I don't think he would meet broner @ a catch weight. I think Garcia is a great prospect but still to green. I think gbp would advise him no to take that fight. So I think the likely choice would be Bradley.

Garcia and bradley beats marquez, people read too much into the pacquiao fights, marquez struggles with young strong guys in their prime.I think garcia could be the first to ko marquez, especially with that left hook.bradley would outwork marquez.

If Floyd didn't ko Marquez weighing more then 147 what makes you think Garcia can?

Styles make fights and a outcome of a fight isn't determined by past opponents, stop living in the past.

Only way i can see that happening is if Marquez gets old overnight.

But stylewise, Marquez CAN beat Bradley and Garcia IMO.

It's a possibility at this stage. But assuming all other things remain the same, he can outbox Garcia easily and Bradley decisively. Garcia can catch him with a hard shot, but that's all he has. He's not a dynamic aggressor, so as long as Marquez keeps his defense intact and doesn't overextend himself offensively like he did against Katsidis, he can stay on his feet. Bradley won't "outwork" him since he's only upped his volume against less-than-elite fighters; he can't outbox him on the outside, and he's not tight enough on the inside. These "young strong boxers" he struggled with were swarmers like Diaz and Katsidis.

Marquez can beat both Bradley and Garcia IMO

He can fight Bradley at 147 too. He came in over 140 vs manny and looked fine
