Hardly a loss though to Matchroom Do sky think people will tune in cos all the girls are boxing ? Seriously I'll watch the top girls but it's no game changer for me
How many more fights BJS got on that contract? Eubank might have options but he is purely a prize fighter and if that BJS rematch pays the most, its what he will do
You say that but they were clearly building up to Bridges-Courtenay 2 at some stage, and now there's nobody for Ebanie to fight that makes any money. Hence Hearn going on the other day about "unification" as the goal but you could see Bridges losing her next fight; she barely edged the last one. Then she'd be off to Sky to fight Courtenay for the pay day.
In the scheme of things, all women's fights are low level - financially and in objective quality. It wouldn't stop Sky putting them on with top billing.
You can’t compare Taylor at the Garden in one of the best atmospheres there ever and getting a million quid to crappy Ebanie Bridges fighting for a worthless alphabet belt deep down on an undercard. Get a grip.
Atmosphere is nothing to do with boxing quality or style. I didn't get the fuss about the Taylor fight and found it as watchable as any other womens' bout. You've also completely missed the point that Sky seems to view womens' boxing as a cause as much as an investment so wouldn't be remotely surprised if they gave a Bridges-Courtenay fight top billing. They might not hype it as much as they're doing with Shields and Marshall but probably not far off.
Should Matchroom / DAZN UK lose Lerrone Richards, I think they'll be fine. Lerrone Richards is not selling any tickets and there is no interest in his fights. Should he change stable, he will probably be allowed to win the first fight. After that, he will be used as an opponent.
I don't share the view that British Boxing is in a bad place right now and that we have no talent. Look at the talents Boxxer / Sky Sports have in their stable. Several of these talents will go all the way if Boxxer / Sky Sports have patience.
