The 'Supernatural Triumvirate' would consist of Mijares-Guzman & Gamboa, if you are a fan of these and can't wait till all 3 move into a high P4P spot as a single, indestructible, undominatable unit, then please get a first class ticket on this particular train.

Not for fans of 1 in particular, but the strive to see all 3 of these phenom's gain top P4P ranking and recognition very soon.

    :good

Let's all support the Supernatural Triumvirate.

Ams, how do you rank the three in terms of potential ability, and does that ranking differ from their order of current ability?

    Potential -

    Gamboa
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Mijares
    Guzman

    Current -

    Guzman
    Mijares
    Gamboa

    .........................

    Reasoning for current -

Guzman can tool two P4P ranked guys right now, has the ability to deal with Campbell and can generally defeat anybody at LW and Superfeather and is at his best for all intents and purposes, could just improve stamina.

Mijares is close behind, but has not hit his absolute best yet, when he does, it's going to be frightening, his improvements are evident every bout as the competition gets better.

Gamboa is not necessarily a diamond in the rough. More like a god-King that needs to be instructed on how to rule properly with his powers, easily done, when he reaches his best mix between skill and ability, it's going to be awe-inspiring how he easily deals with everyone around him. He's in a class of his own in terms of pure athletic ability. Not only is he amazing in reflexes, speed, timing, precision and has good power, but he's also the strongest featherweight I think I've ever seen, throwing Jimenez halfway across the ring effortlessly.

It would be beautiful if all three of them are part of the top 3 P4P list in a few years. Nothing could be better for boxing.

Lets say, in the next 2-3 years..

Mijares stops Montiel late after shutting him out, then stops Donaire in the mid-rounds after shutting him out, then destroys guys like Kirilov and Banal, then moves up to 118 and beats Penalosa/Mares by very wide decisions...

Guzman beats Campbell, Diaz, and JMM by 9-3 type of decisions, then moves up to 140 and beats Hatton by an 8-4 decision...

Gamboa stops both Linares and Luevano before the 6th round, then moves up to 130 and stops Valero in 1 minute and stops Juarez late, then stops Pacquiao in the mid-rounds at 135 (after Pac most likely has a few losses and clearly looks past-it)...

Cotto beats Mayweather by an 8-4, 9-3 type of decision twice (being more dominant in a rematch), then stops DLH, Clottey, Williams, and Berto...

What would your top 3 P4P list look like? Also, if Cotto became recognized by all of the boxing media as the unmovable P4P #1 because of his Mayweather wins, would you start an anti-Cotto P4P #1 train and make constant threads pointing out Cotto's flaws while saying that 147 isn't a strong division?

I'm on board this train, no doubt! You have 3 of my top 5 favorite fighters mentioned. Just out of curiousity, is Cotto ever going to reach any kind of supernatural status?

Cotto is better than all three of them combined. The omnipotent one.

Supernatural is not something that is attained, you are born with it just like power. Mayweather for example, had supernatural ability, Pac has supernatural ability. But Pac lacks the skill and finesse and finesse is a big part of it,

It's a mix between warrior, skilled boxer, defensive craftyness, precision punching and under lightning speed and reflexes, they are just obscene fighters and combination punching effectiveness plays a big role.

Cotto is not a Supernatural. Duran though, was a Supernatural in a pressure style.
