Who do you think Campbell will be fighting next?

Casamayor-Diaz is already being negotiated... so scratch off those two names.

David Diaz is set with Pacquio.

Katsidis is coming off a lost. I think his handlers want to get him a win before somebody like Campbell.

Amir Khan is his mandatory, but I highly doubt his people want to put him against Campbell at this moment... too soon for a huge step up.

who else is left? Santa Cruz?

Amir Khan would be his best option right now. Up and coming fighter with talent and he is the mandatory so no on can criticise him for taking the fight.

great fight switchpuncher. However i want to see the old men battling it out. I want Casamayor-Campbell. Both caused upsets and looked damn good doing it.

Yes, Khan is a WBO mandatory. I don't understand these boxing politics. Joel Casamayor is the new WBO interim champ after beating Katsidis, Peterson is ranked #1, and the Khan/Krisjansen fight was a WBO eliminator. So Campbell has 3 mandatories to choose from.:patsch .... makes no sense.

If he fights Santa Cruz he is cleaning up Casa's mess - don't do that, instead let Cruz fight and beat someone and be a constant reminder to the public that Casa lost the whole fight to Cruz.

Amir Kahn and Peterson I think both fights its too soon for those guys. Both fights are bigger, later. For Campbell they are both a high risk fight but only more risky down the line. I actually think he should call for one of these fights only if he can't get somebody else approved as an opponent by the networks. If Nate loses he loses the potential massive Pac payday. Nate is in a very good position right now. However wins against either would be nice and erase potential Pac opponents for 2009.

The goal is always make money. #1 $$$ fight is Pac #2 $$$ fight is Casa.

With that in mind, his next fight should be whatever opponent the networks will accept from the current pool of lights. I think it is important his next fight is on HBO or Showtime because surely Casa / Diaz will be on HBO.

Arum would want Campbell before Casa for Pac cuz he won't have to share revenue with GBP. So if Pac beats Diaz and doesn't go for JMM3 at lightweight (although I think he will) than Campbell could very well be next.

Nate has already said he would fight the other guys Casa could fight so as to force Casa to fight him, but clearly, that won't work, since Casa is fighting Diaz anyways.

If Campbell beats Casa than the call for Casa Pac will become very big and push JMM Pac 3 further away, the fight that GBP is salivating for. Also, the winner of Casa / Diaz will be sitting very pretty. So in effect, GBP can line up Pac's next two opponents potentially.

JA Santa Cruz is still with GBP right? He has no fight scheduled and he doesn't complain about getting screwed? could it be because of GBP?

Since they have Khan as the next great thing - why not throw him in there. He's been doing a lot of talking himself as of lately about Campbell and Casa - so why not give him his shot.

    Juan Diaz-Casa
    Pac-David
    Nate-JMM

Then Pac vs JMM for undisputed 135lb crown and winner faces lineal champ.

    Here's how it plays out.....

The WBO ordered Casa to agree by April 4 to fight Nate. Obviously he didn't, so the WBO will strip him of the Interim title. Khan just won an eliminator, and a WBO mandatory is due, so the WBO is going to order Campbell-Khan negotiations to begin. Should Warren decide not to fight Campbell, then he would be bumped and we would fight the highest ranked available contender, which is Peterson. So Nate's next fight should be with Khan or Peterson, with Khan having first dibs on the fight.....

He can say whatever he wants, but we have a WBO mandatory defense due, so we will fight whoever the WBO says is the guy. Khan has dibs, and if he passes it goes to Peterson. For Peterson though, he just might "be careful what he wishes for". lol
