back in December 2009, Kevin Johnson, creating decent pre-fight hype, showed exellent defensive skills, but landed no punch of any significance against Vitali Klitshcko, suffering a landslide UD loss

July 2012, finally, after 3 years of yelling in the media, David Haye gets his title shot against Wladimir Klitschko. Unfortunately, Haye (who showed at least as good defense as Johnson) failed to live up to his claims, suffering a similar landslide UD loss to Wladimir, blaming his performance on a broken pinky toe

In terms of performance Johnson was worse as he fought an old over the hill brother and Haye landed a few solid shots. In terms of excuse making and whining...

Haye was much worse than Johnson

Johnson easily though Adamek and Mormeck were by far the most disgraceful challengers the Klits ever faced.

Both were shitty fights, though Haye has the ability to beat a Klitschko, with Kingpin I don't think there was any way that he was going to beat Vitali.

This should not even be a close poll. Haye was initiating quite a few attacks with power-punches. He was just failing. Haye baited more than attacked, it's true, but I think his was more trying and failing than not trying and failing. Johnson went in there to pose, aggravate and survive. His performance was borderline bizarre. Look how few power-punches he threw. Threw. Not just landed, but threw. I have zero doubt that Johnson's performance was worst. Zero. And as bad as he was able of making Vitali look, he still got cuffed throughout the fight. And the thing is, Haye wasn't physically getting close. That's why his punches failed. Johnson was right the **** in front of Vitali for a long time in that fight. He just didn't bother. Haye took less damage, inflicted ever so slightly more, but tried, however inefficiently, much more.

Overall? Johnson. He was 100% survival.

Given the expectations? Haye by a mile. The flopping on the ground was pathetic, he barely threw, was walking backwards the whole fight. The fact that people actually thought this would be a close fight makes Haye the winner in this poll.

    Johnson

Johnson also talked a lot of ****, but nobody listened.

The only reason people are mad at Haye is because they fell for his talk

Hayes was one of the best peromances against wlad since the last guy who beat him (barring Peter)

    Kingpin was awful

Adamek was worse than both though, as was mormeck

At least kingpin/Haye showed skill of some sort, the other two just got beat up

Haye's performance against Wlad sucked carrots, but it wasn't even close to being as pathetic as 'Safetypin' Johnson's "performance".

The way Haye fought he had at least a 'puncher's chance'. While Johnson had no intention of even trying to win.
