After Martinez dominating performance he was made pound for pound number 3 by Ring Magazine. overtaking Marquez.

This seemed to be the consensus on here as well. After Marquez display this weekend, do people think he should be rated higher than Martinez.

IMO Marquez should be number 3, his body of work over the last 10 years is incredible, Martinez only has 3 good performances.

    Thoughts?

Marquez - and it should have been Marquez before his fight with Katsidis.

agreed it's supposed to be about resume, not potential.
Martinez has 2 good wins in his career (williams and pavlik). By that logic stick Froch and Ward in the top 5 whilst we're at it.

Crazy last two weeks of boxing that could have, and has changed the P4P #10 around a bit.

    Last week.

    #1 Pacquiao.
    #2 Mayweather.

    ________________
    #3 Martinez.
    #4 Marquez.

Now...I would probably have Marquez pipping Martinez for 3rd.

In that case you could say Bernard Hopkins has a good case for making it. It comes down to what you have done relatively recently. That is why I believe Martinez nicks it, but only just.

There is no question as to who has the better resume.

I think Marquez should remain at 3. Prior to his wins over Pavlik and Williams, Martinez has never did anything to warrant a top 3 spot. Marquez has been around for far longer.

MY thoughts??? The whole P4P concept is nothing but pure BS. There is not even a criteria to make that list. There are at least 1,000,000 P4P lists

marquez shouldn't have been moved down at all.u shud only be moved down in the case of a defeat, which marquez hasn't suffered

I hate PBF, too. But clearly, you have to go with:

    1. Pac
    2. PBF
    3. JMM
