Who's power was more impressive to you Mike Tyson's or Wilders?

I'd say Wilder.
Tyson Just was a much better boxer in general, who could find openings, switch things up quickly and just overwhelm his opponent.
Wilder just needs the power to bail him out. It's hard for him to win another way against decent opposition.

 

Wilder knocked out a bunch of bums. Tyson knocked out guys who could actually fight. Knocking out a slightly past it Holmes smokes Wilders whole resume.

 

Tyson Ko'd Holmes, Spinks, Tubbs, Bruno, Thomas, Tucker, and Ruddock, all of whom were better than anyone Wilder has ever beaten.

 

About ten guys Tyson beat, beat Wilder without much problem.

 

If we’re just talking power then it’s obviously Wilder. Wilder puts guys to sleep with one single punch.

 

Tillis took Tyson`s shots better than he would have taken Wilder`s and if Buster got caught flush the way he wa caught by Tyson when he was floored by one uppercut against Wilder`s straight right then Buster would never got up, however prime Tyson would have destroyed Williams and McBride in 1-2 rounds.

 

No way could Bruno take Wilder`s power, he was stopped 4 times and badly hurt by a bum like Jumbo Cummings.

 

Wilder has more one punch power, but Tyson could land fast, powerful combos and was the perfect finisher.

The way i see it does Wilder possibly hit harder than Tyson, if they both threw there hardest punch ? maybe. But Tyson is way more skilled than Wilder, has a better defence, punches better with both hands, and has way more punch variety, and would do better H2H against other past great Heavyweights.

And finally if Tyson and Wilder were to actually fight, i think Tyson would KO Wilder within 5 rounds. Wilder hasn't got the physical strength and doesn't clinch on the inside, and i don't think Wilder's right hand would be that effective, against the smaller bobbing and weaving Tyson. Who would rip body shots and devastating hooks and uppercuts on the inside.

 

Were talking about 86-88 Tyson not the Tyson who had been in prison for 3 years, then came out and fought Holyfield in 96 and Lewis in 02, and would Wilder be able to beat either of them ? probably not.

And actually when Tyson ruled the division between 86-90, Lewis was still an amateur and a novice pro.

 

100% Mike Tyson because he Knocked Out genuine top class Heavyweights as opposed to Wilder who’s only ever fought White Collar Boxers, Bum of the Month Club Members & tomato cans.
