Never liked headgear. Always found it a pain when sparring.

Same here, I can slip punches no problem without but find it hard when I'm wearing it. Plus, It just feels irriating on your face.

They restrict my vision. I don't see punches that well coming from around the guard. If anything there's a good reason to spar without them.

I liked a lot of what it says but a lot needs to be addressed

All current need to disaffiliate from their current organisations to enroll in APB: haha no chance

The biggest prize in the APB will be the Olympic Medal which will be under a different body the "AOB" so why would anyone turn pro under the shitty AIBA pro organisation

The cubans & other nationalities who don't except pro boxing will they just be told to "do one"

AIBA is a joke, Dr. Woo is a money grabbing muppet who is gonna ruin the amateur code

& all those moaning bout head guards how many bouts have ye had cos I've been boxing for nearly 8 yrs & ive never had dramas with head guards!!

Is this supposed to take place directly after the london olympics? If so i'm very exited i always hated headgear myself and the horrible method of point scoring we have presently but it seems sudden when can we expect the new rules to take place in amateur fights? Or are they going to start training people in the new system AFTER the olympics ?

It never quite restricts my vision but I feel really 'enclosed' when wearing it, then it always seems to be in the most awkward position on my brow which is really annoying. A lot of it might be the headguard I am using, I don't have my own but I might have to get one soon that fits a lot better.

If some people prefer not to use headguards then that's on them. Who gives a **** if you haven't had dramas with them....
