    How in the hell has PBF dominated those 2 divisions. He fought Oscar at 154. Thats it. Then Hasnt fought even the top 5 in the WW division since he moved up. I dont think Baldomir, Judah and Hatton count. Well actually i will give you Judah since he was still a top fighter at WW when they fought.

    PBF's resume ... consisting of more weight classes ... more champions ... just as many championship fights ... better record in championship fights ... better record over all ...

    Is Tito getting credit for his losses?

    opposition. I am only asking who has the most impressive resume regardless of losses I want to know whos opposition do you find most impressive. Floyd is a 5 division champ...No one is arguing about that.

    What Im getting at is how far up the ATG list will "boxing ability" and being undefeated in a weak era get you?? Im almost certain that a lot of people would rank Floyd Mayweather higher than Trinidad all time. But IMO Mayweather's opposition is lacking.

    For those questioning why I included Hopkins etc into Trinidad's list of opponents. First off im just looking at their opposition and how hard these guys tested themselves.

    But if Floyd Mayweather fought in a different era and he moved up to 147lbs to run into SRL or Hearns and he got absolutely blasted and ktfo which is a good possibility in a case vs Hearns, would you not acknowledge that he had the balls to fight an ATG in Hearns despite his lossing efforts?

    Trinidad moved up and ran into an ATG in Bernard Hopkins and got knocked the **** out. If you're telling me that you wouldn't acknowledge Floyd lossing to an ATG that was in a higher weight class than fine we won't ackowledge Trinidad moving up to 160lbs to fight an ATG. But I find that very hard to believe.

    Those people won't be the ones writing the history. So don't worry about that. Internet fanboys who are more concerned with what a boxer makes rather than who he fights are not real fans of the sport.

    Of course they count. Why wouldn't they count?

    Judah = Top3 in the division, former Undisputed Champ.

    Baldomir = Lineal champ

    Hatton = Won a belt at 147

    This thread is about quality of opposition. Did you figure that out yet?

    The Joy Boy fanbase is crazy man. Not only do they not realise the relatively poor pool of fighters that Mayweather has had to choose from in comparison's to the 90's competition that Trinidad fought in, they excuse him from avoiding all major challenges.

    Who's resume is better even with losses?

    Trinidad, obviously, he defeated better fighters than Mayweather has defeated. He lost badly twice when it counted, but, to better fighters than ANYBODY Mayweather has fought or even has AVAILABLE to fight.

    Hopkins loss, oh big deal, a top 3 ATG MW for a former Welter.

    Wright loss, past his prime and embarassing, but a top 5 LMW of all time.

    Has Floyd fought a top anything in their division when it mattered? No. He has yet to even fight a real elite fighter.

    Is it no wonder why we all want to see Cotto vs Floyd? I mean I don't hate Floyd, I just want him to test himself to the point where he can't anymore, I want to see how special and amazing he can truley be. If he cleaned out 147lbs it would be more than we could ask for. But as it stands his opposition is so so, it is not special.

    yeah, it appears that folks are including his loses as well as his wins. That makes no sense. The only credible fight Mayweather has left is the winner of the Cotto/Margarito match. He's beaten everyone else that was worth the time to fight.

    it seems that everyone voting for floyd has joined this site in 2008 so I assume they have a whole 4 months of study in the art. the guys voting for tito seem to have been following the sport for years according to their join dates. now if you were a detective, what would this tell you?
