Old Foreman had slow feet, but for a fat old guy his hand speed was decent. What people always seem to forget with either version of Foreman is he had good timing and accuracy. He would throw these pawing shots and lull the opponent into a false sense of security. Then after getting the timing and range down, he'd nail you unexpectedly with something solid. Right on the nose, the jaw, temple, kidney, etc. It wasn't very fast, but he made them count. Joyce is just flat out slow and is even cruder with mediocre technique. Against Chisora, it literally looked like someone had slowed the video down to 0.5x speed. Slow as molasses, glacial arm punches with basically no snap or sting on them at all. Foreman would at least turn his hips and put his shoulder into his punches. Joyce is clueless and weighs too goddamn much and his form is too poor to make all that size and bulk count for anything. Even a sledgehammer won't hurt if it's only traveling at 2 MPH.
