    Mikkel... :patsch

Kessler has some successful rounds early and mid, catching Calzaghe coming in and from range and seeming to have the upper hand in spells. By round 8 Joe's workrate starts to tell on the Dane and the tide starts to turn gradually from a pretty even contest to an increasingly more one sided one.

    Calzaghe swarms to a TKO11

...provided his hands hold up. If he busts one before round 7, Kessler wins a reasonable to tight UD and Joe should retire. If he should bust a hand after round 7, I'll say a draw... or MD/SD Kessler.

Hope someones gonna be resurecting this thread on Nov 4th.

So you are still convinced that Bika is the big liar on Palle's payroll ?

Bika's is of the very clear observation that Kessler is way stronger than Calzaghe. Basically he is the only person to talk with authority about that matter. Ha fought JC for 12 and Kessler for 60. I think his body knows the facts.

Maybe skils and generalship is prominent features of Kessler talent, but power obviously is coming close.

I have not seen the 1/2 odds, but I have see the percetages saying 58/42 for JC. If the bookies consider him that much better than Kessler then I am surprised that he is not leading more, considering hometurf with 60.000 + fanatic supporters. I would weigh that a lot more than 10% of the equation.

Anyway, Joe may be the first to put so much pressure on Kessler that he really has to fight for it, with his life. That will be first time for Mikkel, but somehow I think he appreciates the opportunity to let himself go 100%.

I am not a "writer" like Blocky. But somehow my predictions about the fight has been way better than Blockys pathetic prediction of no contes. The fight would never be on. Right Blocky. Joe had no incentive and it was a lose/lose configuration for Joe. I agree with the lose/lose for Joe but from another point of view.

Blocky the "fight analyst" has no objectivity in this matter. But his deductions sucks. For months he wrote a lot of **** claiming this fight wouldent do **** for Joe. Listen to Joe now. He has no doubt Kessler is the best doing the most for his legacy. Calzaghes deduction is in complete opposition to Blocky. Ok he needs to sell the match.

Another thing. How come Warren expect 60.000 or more if this was a insignificant fight. They UK audience knew way less about Kessler than the US audience did. But it is selling real fast this time. The contract isent even signed yet.

I think a lot of americans tend to favour Joe because he humiliated Lacy. Making Joe anything but a boxing god would denigrate Lacy completely and make him look worse than ever.

Lacy could have boxed Kessler just as easy as Joe back then. Kessler. Anybody remember the open letter Kessler wrote to Lacy. Kessler was frustrated that Joe wouldent fight him. But Lacy preferred Joe in the end. It could have been monet or it could have been that he considred his chances better against Joe than against Kessler. I think he was spot on that prediction.

My conclusion so far is that all the previous stated reasons for Joe not meeting Kessler, advocated by blocky et al. has been clarly disproved by Warren and Joe himself. That what i would call shitty predictions made by a biased mind.

To Joe this is the biggest and most important match ever. He says so himself. Kessler is his most dangerous opponent ever.

I am looking forward to Blocky packing his **** and crawl humiliated back down his shithole never to surface on ESB anymore. The guy is arrogant and condescending and htere is no more pleasurable thing in the world than knowing how he has to suffer utter humiliation and being the new laughing stock on ESB.

I think Joe has paved the road for an honourable defeat against someone he considers a clear #2. And the best he has met. It will not be a disgrace to loose to a younger and stronger guy.

It will be a disgrace to have been an "analyst" with superior knowledge and be sooo wrong. God I cant wait.......

Bika also said some guy named Sakio would be too good for Calzaghe beat but I do actually entirely agree with him this time, Kessler is special

If we don't all contribute to The Kessler Health Fund then we are all part of pre-meditated murder.

Yada yada Blocky yada yada Kessler yada yada jab ineffective yada yada too stiff and orthodox yada yada Joe yada yada lightning fast yada yada supernatural yada yada dominate yada yada.

Because ppl repeat something again and again doesn't make it bulletproof. But this fight should make for some interesting avatar-betting or forum-absence-bets: Perhaps Joe will win, but Kessler won't be ko'ed, and it will be pretty even. Go Kessler!

This isn't going to be like Calzaghe/Lacy. Kessler is a very good fighter and his right hand will definately be a factor in the fight as Calzaghe has always been susceptible to straight right. I expect to see Kessler be out worked throughtout but have sucess early with the right hand. Calzaghe's chin takes everything Kessler can throw at him and he regularly finds a way past Kesslers jab. Kesslers lack of infighting skills is what will cost him the fight. From range Kessler has the edge but Calzaghe is faster and is able to get inside and dominate in mid to close range. Calzaghe by UD or even a late TKO if his hands hold up.

As you very well know, Blocky, I was the one responsible for convincing Joe that he needed to redeem himself and his legacy by arranging to fight Kessler. Had it not been for me and my various posts, YOU would be looking forward to Calzaghe v. Manfredo II. But not ONE word of thanks from you...no appreciation...no respect.:verysad

    You're still a liaer - Dickhead

Cut from Joe's homepage dated 27/4/2007:
“I’m very pleased with the results of the x-ray and the doctor’s diagnosis. The pain and swelling should disappear over the next four weeks and then I can begin light training. A fight in July is completely ruled out however I am very much looking forward to a big showdown in September”. “I’m very pleased with the results of the x-ray and the doctor’s diagnosis. Blocky,Do you suffer from xenophobia? I think you do!!

Do you know how ******ed you look and sound with the things you say?! Your words of wisdom with how mikkel kessler should box joe calzaghe is probably the most childish thing i have read in the history of boxing forums.

In case you hadn't noticed without your glasses on kessler is unbeaten in 39 fights and has never looked like getting beaten,What makes you think he needs advice by a little turd like you?

The way you give your analysis on this fight is like you are playing your playstaion with your school friends in your bedroom.

There has been hundreds if not thousands of fights over the years that looked as though one particular fighter didn't stand a chance in hell because on paper it looked like he didn't have the necessary abilty to do so only to see the unthinkable happen.

Since when has it became a crime to get behind a fighter from your country??

Your abuse for anybody backing kessler to win is worse then a couple of school kids arguing in the playground over who is the better superhero?Batman or superman.

Your idea of repeating the same garbage and hate that comes out of your filthy little mouth needs to stop.

There are alot of supporters on both sides who have opinions on who will win and how the outcome will pan out and everyone on here debate the points then move on.But you resort to kids tactics by name calling and gutter trash tactics from the comfort of your own home.

if you want to be taken seriously by the adults on here you first need to show some respect and whilst your at it,,Go and see a psychiatrist to help you with your hate of danish people and jealousy of kessler.

I would have thought you would be over the fact that your missus loves the viking warrior mikkel kessler and danes in general.

My apologies if your offended with your own treatment.

Say hello to uncle franky for me now wont ya:hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

Great thread! A new way to discuss the fight process...

Anyway . I still feel very sure that the fight will be a classic considering the Inside vs outside aspect.

Both fighters are superior in what they do and therefore we have a megafight coming up. I dont care **** about Blocky's statements about Kesslers Jab (or the statement that Joe is capable of winning from the outside:patsch ) but I know that come fightnight - this fight is a ****in' coin toss....

Although its close I think that Joe will loose this one. Kessler is by ****in space ages leagues above any fighter Joe has faced. Prime Lacy, Eubank, Reid, Mitchell would loose to todays Kessler.

Then theres the southpaw vs orthodox discussion:rofl

Some people really beleive that an orthodox fighter always looses to a southpaw because his jab wont work or something else... This statement is allright considering that southpaws may have a 60/40 advantage to begin with. But its ****in bull**** analyzing this matchup.

    Both fighters adapt perfect etc...

Kessler by tko round 11 is my prediction. In a close fight with a lot of trading.
