Fans have the power not to buy these two fighters ppv. That could have forced the fight.

Ultimately, a court of law will clear this up and show Mayweather is a *****.

Mayweather is going to have to give a lot of Money to Pacquiao in order to make things right.

    Deal. :deal

EXACTLY...FLOYD MAKES JUST UNDER A 60 PERCENT SHARE ANYWAYS...While Pac makes 22.5 million (well under a 40 percent share) anyways..

*******s on full damage control..and yea I wouldn't leave anything to those judges minus a dominant victory. Floyd would pull counter over Pac's short ass jab all night too.:deal

There's a lot wrong with that post:

    1. There's no comparison with the $40m offer and the $7.5 guarantee (if this is even true), one goes down a lot after Arum's cut, the other one goes up a lot with the ppv upside.
    2. The total would be way more than $100m, how much more we don't know. The Oscar fight generated $120m, of which $79 split between the 2, about 2/3. Since the avg ppv these days is $65 (could be more for this fight), 3m buys is about $200m. With 2/3 for the fighters, if Manny took $40m fixed, Floyd would end up with over $90m. After Arum's cut, it's 75/25 for Floyd.
    3. Manny wouldn't be walking away with twice his career best with 40% of $100m, you again forgot to subtract Arum's cut conveniently. Again, he'd be taking in less than 20% more than against JMM.
    4. Floyd would be promoting this event (with a little help from GBP). That means there's more to consider than just PPV. The gate will be substantial, advertising, international rights! This could easily add $20m, or who knows how much more, to Floyd's income.

I don't know why you went through the trouble of posting that. Doesn't matter what the guarantee is, what matters is the overall purse.

    And that's

    5. How can you have a $22.5 career high, fight twice in 2011, and make $50m?

When you lie as much as Manny and Bob do, you forget the truth and your facts get all crossed up. Did they build that outdoor stadium yet?

they offered Floyd the choice of both, the 60-40 for the winner and the 45-45 +10% for the winner, to help pursuade Mayweather to make the fight. Koncz said it in this interview too. Floyd wants to stick to his $40M and no PPV % for Pac in a fight they should each make 60-70M in a 50-50 split, and maybe a lot more if it smashes the PPV record.

You guys going into purses, Pacquiao has the highest selling and grossing fight in both PPV and at the gate in 3 of the last 4 years, and in 2 of the last 3 years going head to head with Floyd. If Pacquiao's fights generate as much or more money than Floyd's, it's very clear that he deserves a 50-50 split. Just split the money and profits aswell as the costs down the middle between Pac/Top Rank promotions, Mayweather/Golden Boy promotions. How each side splits their share is up to them. It's actually very simple, Mayweather's ego and greed and reluctance to fight notwithstanding
