Who's the best counterpuncher Calzaghe has ever fought?

Yeah..Tarver..no Jeff lacy...Not the same character..>Tarver won quite of few fights and is a difficult southpaw. Keep up with the ****ing british excuses. Claiming these average ass fighters are good. GTFO of here. Lacy is a ****ing one dimensional bum. No GOOD counter puncher would lose to him.

Another know it all Yanky, you probably havent even seen a prime Robin Reid. Sure, just keep judging him by the Lacy fight, where he was shot and trained for the damn fight in his hotel

 

Well Tarver would have given Roy some problems if they had fought any time during Roy's career. A big part of Roy's game is his sort of 'chicken fighting' moves. The way he feints, the way he sets traps, the way he uses misdirection, and unorthodox body movements so that people don't even realize when he's throwing a huge knockout punch......... all of that stuff, is a very big part of his game. Tarver had this stuff FIGURED OUT, no other boxer thats been in with Roy has. Whenever Roy would attempt one of these unorthodox moves, Tarver would feint, or throw a jab. Which kept ROY off his game, forcing him to just try to score points and of course eventually getting him knocked the **** out.

Surely Roy was not the same fighter he used to be, but Tarver had a part of Roy's style figured out that nobody in the ring had done before!

Tarver isn't that great, but I think he should be given credit not just for catching Roy Jones, but for figuring out a large part of his style!
