    dempsey vs marciano
    dempsey vs frazier
    frazier vs marciano

15 rounds and all three are in their prime. who do you guys think wins and why so ??

me, i see dempsey beating marciano (close one) in a very tough match.
frazier tko or ko in the late rounds over marciano
    and frazier ud over dempsey

p.s. one thing worrys me a bit.. joe was a notorious slow starter. and maybe against those guys it can break him up but on the other hand joe could take a punch very well, an like the other two, had great heart

Not a swarmer in my opinion.

Not in his prime anyway, never a good swarmer even after his prime, more of a slugger then.

I was going to just say Frazier when i saw the thread title, but i wonder, i really think Marciano is a complete nightmare to be in a boxing ring with.

    Marciano
    Frazier
Frazier (but Marciano has a good chance in this one)

You read my mind, as soon as I saw the thread title I just thought, Frazier but looking at it him and Marciano would have been some fight and I'm not fully convinced Frazier beats him.

I'm leaning towards Marciano personally. But i actually always have, not set in stone though.

Would pick 1953-1955 Marciano as the best 15-round swarmer, would pick this Marciano over 1919 Dempsey or 1971 Frazier; would pick 1919 Dempsey over 1971 Frazier. On an 'if they came along at the same time' basis, I'd put Marciano and Dempsey equal, don't know who I'd pick if they met. Also, I could easily see any of these match-ups going the other way.

Very hard to pick a definative winner. 71 Frazier was a beast and had better head movement than the others but I think Marciano was stronger and more durable. Haven't seen enough of Dempsey to make a judgement but I am leaning towards Marciano.....slightly.

:goodbingo. i see it going marciano, frazier, frazier. joe was a slow starter and could be hurt early but i see him gaining momentum and stopping dempsey by the mid late rounds and having one of the greatest fights with rocky of all time before stopping him with a late round tko, from broken nose or cuts

If you're counting on Frazier to win on cuts, you're going to be disapointed. Rocky was rarely cut, the freak nose incident could of happened to anybody. Rocky's superior durability and two fisted power makes the difference in a bout with Joe, great fight though.

    Bingo :good

And we're not talking 55 Marciano. In that case his odds are reduced. A 52-54 version would have the better chance in my mind. Ironically though, earlier more peak/prime version of Rocky consists of a more of a slugging version of the fighter, rather than swarmer.

    I have in the picks.

    Marciano
    Frazier
    Marciano

I would rank Frazier above Marciano because of his great bob and weave.

Although Dempsey might be better than both, he could get a bit wild.
