As the title says, who is the best HW you'd feel comfortable picking Lewis to beat them in a h2h matchup
Well since I rate Wlad higher than most I would favor him over #6 Wlad My top 5 Louis Ali Holmes Lewis Foreman I would think are close to 50/50 type fights in my mind, maybe favoring him over Foreman but I could go either way on that one. But I would make him a clear favorite over Wlad Edit: I have Frazier Holyfield and Tyson at 7-9, and pick Tyson to beat him but would call Holy/Frazier 50/50 types as far as favoring goes. I have Marciano, Johnson, Dempsey, Liston in the 10-13 range and would favor him over all of them but Liston So for me in making him a favorite over Wlad Rocky Dempsey Johnson
I feel Lewis would have beaten Holmes in a very close fight, Larry was open to right hands and that was Lewis`s money punch, having said that Lewis was outjabbed by Bruno and Mercer and Larry had a far better jab than both of those guys, I feel Lewis`s reach might be too much for Larry despite Holmes having a great reach too, Lewis was taller. I feel any quality heavyweight with a good jab would have had a chance of beating Lennox though. I feel he could have beaten some of the shorter armed heavyweight champs too except a prime Tyson.
Hmmm I don’t think Lewis is the GOAT h2h. However the best ATGs I would pick him to beat with confidence is Frazier, Marciano, Holyfield, Wlad. 50/50 fights Ali, Louis, Holmes. Fights I’m confident he would lose - foreman and Tyson.
Louis followed by Holmes. I think Louis is too fragile and stylistically unsuited to beating Lewis, and I think Holmes just finds himself physically overmatched by a man with comparable skills and a whole ton of power. I'd also pick him over Wlad and Frazier with little hesitation.
A clear favourite ?? Marciano probably followed by Frazier and Wlad of course who I think Lewis would demolish inside 6 rounds. He'd also be a slight favourite over Holyfield, Dempsey and IMO Tyson and Foreman, all the others in the top 10 are 50/50's.
By stoppage he would beat Wladamir Marciano Frazier Louis By u.d. he'd beat Fury Holmes Ali Bowe Foreman Wouldn't put money on most those names, so by definate victory id say Frazier, marciano and norton

I would put Lewis a clear favourite against Louis and Louis is often ranked no.1 or 2 on a lot of people’s all time greatest Heavyweights. H2H is a totally different ballgame though.
