Who's the best modern heavyweight Galento could beat?

None that I can think, at least none currently ranked in the top ten. Probably would have been fun to watch him brawl Butterbean.

 

The division’s evolved a lot since the days when guys like Nova and Galento could make it anywhere near the top ten. The fact that Galento was taken seriously at all says more about the state of the division back then than anything else. And let’s not forget — Nova had other issues in that fight too, including being on the receiving end of one of the dirtiest performances in boxing history.

 

The division has not evolved an inch since then.

Outside of Usyk himself, there is nobody in the division as cleaver as Joe Louis, Max Schmeling, Jack Sharkey, Billy Conn, or Joe Walcott.

Not even an inch.
