I didn't vote only because I think both Joshua Clottey and Arthur Abraham are basically equal. Clottey may have the slight edge as he actually moves his elbows down and bends his body to shield the punches whereas Abraham is more of a static turtle shell defense. Clottey's torso is also smaller or thinner so that he can protect it more. But Abraham may have the bigger arms. Clottey has a little bit more variety in his punches, moves his legs well, and has great stamina. He also is generally larger than his opponents at welterweight. Abraham has more power (knock-out power!), but a little shorter than most of his opponents at super middleweight.
I personally don't consider Winky Wright as a turtle shell defense fighter. He doesn't really keep his guard close to his face and body, but rather out in front so that fighters can't get passed it, and his short quick jabs.
