Cotto is the harder body puncher and it's a bigger part of his offensive arsenal. Mayweather is extremely effective with his body work. He does a good job of working the body with his jab, left hook, and even straight right on occasion. The tendency will be to go with Cotto due to the ferocity at which he attacks the body. However, there's really nothing negative that you can say about Mayweather's body work.

So you base Cotto's body work better because its more implamented in his game plan?

Because he's precieved to have more power behind his?

Because he breaks most of his opponents down with it?

    Cotto

Mayweather is a very good, in fact excellent, inside fighter, but the body punch isn't a part of his arsenal as it is Cotto.

I would say that Cotto is the best in the world currently, with guys like Margarito and Hatton not far behind.

Those are the reasons that Cotto will win this poll, and win it relatively convincingly.

How did Floyd beat Hatton to the body? ... yet Hatton's a better body puncher ... you see what he did against DLH, Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo, and Gatti

anyway cotto is a more effective body puncher plus the power, he does it to wear down his opponents.

Floyd beat Hatton to the body because Floyd is a much better defensive fighter and has a more varied attack than Hatton. Once again, Floyd is an excellent body puncher and it's hard to knock any aspect of his body work.

and what does Mayweather do if for?

and if you think that Mayweather doesn't have a body attack, period, then you should watch more boxing on mute.
