Froch is the more active inside the ring and his offense is his defense. He can throw punches in bunches and move forward, but I don't think he can overpower the shorter, stockier AA. The only way for Froch to beat AA is at a distance and fight differently than he usually does, and move in and out, other than that, AA will has more one punch power than anyone in the super 6, but it seems he can be outboxed from a distance. He's built like a tank and the only thing you can do is slow him down, I think not many have tried going to the body of AA that's the only way I think anyone might stop him. AA got exposed by Dirrell, but still got to him in the end. I don't think Froch is a better fighter than Dirrell and not even close to the defensive or slickness of Dirrell so even tho Froch might be the busier fighter and win the first half, that is nothing new to the slow starter in AA and I can see AA stopping or hurting Froch very badly into the late rounds. I think it's either AA by stoppage or Froch by a split decision I can't really choose right now.
Tough but thank the super 6. We will soon find out .I respect both but give the edge to King Auther . Either way can't wait for their fight !
very good points - Froch wont be able to match Dirrell's gameplan. Froch is very fond in trading in No Man's Land, and that honestly feeds into AA's offense. Common sense says AA by midrounds KO if Froch doesnt adjust his style into the needed gameplan... 100% agreed. Thank god for the Super6 and the match-ups that might have never happened outside a tournament setting. AA would have never been matched up against such a quick boxer.... (heh, was referring to Dirrell, not to Froch btw)
This sounds like a lot of wishful thinking. Ive never witnessed anything remotely "quick" about the Cobra. As far as AA not having stamina, it might be true but in the limited outings Ive witnessed your post might be the only proof of this.
froch has the better resume, but that doesn't mean he's going to beat AA..both are coming of defeats and will go all out for the win, so it's (hopefully)going to be a great fight. i have them pretty even at the moment..who ever wins will prove to be the better fighter when it's all said and done.
One of the fighters in this match up lacks fundamental boxing skills and has very poor defense. I expect that fighter to be damaged very badly.
Might wanna re-read my quote - prob mistaking alot of it for Dirrell. That gameplan is a general gameplan to beat AA, basically what Dirrell used. You dont have to be as quick as Dirrell to successfully use that gameplan, but you have to be versatile enuf to use it. In another reply, i acknowledged that Froch will get KO'd IF he isnt able to flex his style and use that gameplan....
