Who's the Bigger Draw, Wlad or Haye?

Wlad by far.

Haye may be more popular in the UK, but look at the overall picture:

UK has a population of around 60 million.

Wlad is more popular overall in Europe by a wide margin, and Europe has a total population of over 830 million. About 82 million of that 830 million is German population, where Wlad is the overall leader by a HUGE margin.

USA: Wlad is still ahead of Haye, as Wlad has been on Jay Leno, Fox Sports, magazines, radio, etc... I don't know if Haye has done much of that in the US, I haven't seen it myself.

 

This thread is easy to answer.......Wlad by far is the bigger draw.

 

When was the last time Haye filled a 50K plus soccer stadium? Never

When has Wlad ever had to give 2 for 1 tix to fill an arena at home for a title unification fight? Never

Why are people so ****ing obsessed with PPV? Sounds like they actually enjoy paying to watch a fight on telly when it should be free.
To answer the question, Haye hasn't even sold more than 8000 tickets for his fights in the UK. In his last two fights alone, Klitschko has fought in front of over 100,000 people.
Only a spastic from Kildare could think Haye is a bigger draw.

 

Exactly, I was just going to say that. If anything we should all be jealous of the Germans for not having to pay. That probably has a lot to do with why boxing is so popular there.

 

are you kidding? wlad is well known in the us. he's fought here. he's been on hbo numerous times. i dont remember haye fighting here or being on hbo. maybe he has, but i definitly know klitschko has had way more u.s. exposure. american HW may not be great at the moment but at least they will step in the ring with a klitschko. haye runs his mouth then just runs. its hard for americans to get behind a guy like that.

 

I think if Haye is getting more recognistion world wide its a bad day at black rock for boxing , he has for me not lived up to what firstly we as British fans thought he could be and secondly and more importantly not what he said he said he was gonna do , and they are facts !!!!!!

Yes he stopped Ruiz , but showed many many technical flaws , he stunk against Valuev , and now he's saying he may naver have to fight a Klitschko , until i see Klitschko vs Haye up in lights im switching off to him .

 

Because PPV = money. I would think the original poster wants to know who brings in the most money. Money is all that matters. (either in the current fight...or exposure earned thus more potential $$$ in future fights)
The answer to the question is closer to what is the total money generated in the last 5 Kiltschko fights....how does that compared to Hayes last 5 fights?? (or maybe the last 3 fights each as to compare as heavyweights...)

On a world scale, it's Wlad irrespective of HBO.

 

So huge that he couldn't even secure a venue there for his first fight with Wlad? Why doesn't Haye sell that many tickets if he is so huge in the UK? I am sure he is getting more popular there now... but Wlad has drawn 111,000 people combined to see his last 2 fights.
