    At least Floyd stated that he wasn't going to fight again this year. At least there is still a chance of Mayweather v Pacquiao happening (although it should have happened by now). I can't see Dirrell v Ward happening anytime soon...especially when they are such 'good friends'.

    Joe was 38 and proved himself the best. he went out at the right time and he dind't need to do dawson or gary shaw any favors. joe don't need the money and he would have been the whole draw in that fight as dawson is a nobody draw-wise. to say a great champion like Joe Calzaghe ducked a non-star like dawson is tremedously ignorant and the mark of an imbecile.
    floyd has ducked cotto, margarito and now Pacquiao 3 times. that's a ducking coward for you.

    Maybe "tentative" is the better term or even "careful" or "cautious". I do not see it as just ducking as the way you interpret it though.

    You should take note of the resume before you accuse one of ducking. Debate if you want, but Floyd has faced the best opposition possible at any given time in his career.
