I'd personally say Serguei Lyakhovich and here's why...

Ok , even though the guy had a loss against Maurice Harris. He generally was consistent in his career and when he made his come back after a year and half of absence...

Brewtser vs Lyak , to my surprise , was one of the best HW fight of 2006. Better yet , it was one of the best and most entertaining one in years!...

But then , somehow...the very same guy got owned by Briggs!!...
In one of tghe most boring fight of 2006.

It was like a total 360 turn of events...

owned? he came within five seconds of pitching a boring and ugly but clear shutout.

I think it was just a bad night for Lyakhovich.. I know it looked bad losing to Briggs, but I wanna give him the benefit of a doubt on that one. Hopefully he'll be able to come back from the loss.

Tua has had some personal issues to deal with, everything looks to be resolved . David will be back in action on Aug 18th in Salt Lake City Utah vs. Saul Montana. the match will be televised on demand PPV . then David is off to Russia to fight in October . its not over for David by any stretch. He will smoke this current lot !

The biggest dissapointment in the division for me is Kirk Johnson. Or.. was Kirk Johnson. I really thought this guy was going to stick around for a while longer, and I couldn't conceive that he'd look so bad against Ruiz and Klitschko. He had all the skills to beat even the WLAD of today, but for some reason he just couldn't put it together when he got big opportunities.

Good to hear that his personal issues are resolved. Hopefully he loses weight, beats Montana impressively, and stays active.

David's weight is down going into camp this time . so the focus of camp will be on boxing rather then weight loss like past camps.

If he can get down to 230 or 235, he will be a force to be reckoned with:yep

Shannon the Cannon Briggs, why can't this dumb dumb come in at 257 instead of a bulky 273.:patsch Still think that the Cannon is the one man among big men who could give Wlad a fight:bbb Most other fighters are too small Sultan,Chagaev,Povetkin too Slow Virchis, Valuev, Rahman,
or don't have enough power Dimitrenko,Thompson, Gomez. Briggs at a good weight has size power and speed much like Corrie Sanders.:deal
I still think Wlad beats Shannon at any weight but it would be a war:thumbsup

You beat me to it. I was going to say Kirk Johnson. He had size, skills, and decent power. Watching him crush Oleg Maskaev, I never would have believed that the two of them would end up where they are today.

No kidding, man.. I wouldn't have thought in a million years Maskaev especially would be where he's at today.. fate sure does play out in ****ed up ways.
