Tony Thompson knocked David Haye down in sparring :deal

 

Not on here he wasnt.The winner in the poll was Haye by KO/TKO.

 

I gave Haye more than one round. So that in itself is a big difference to winning 0 rounds and getting dominated in every single one of them. There were quite a few rounds Haye lost that he also didn't really get dominated in, Wlad just did more than him and took the rounds. Chambers was just getting lit up by that big old jab for 34 minutes or whatever it was and then put to sleep. There is a big difference, take what Haye said and the odds/perceptions out of your mind because they have absolutely nothing to do with comparing performances that have already taken place and are documented in video format. I think Haye showed at the least that he's a better fighter than Chambers.

Someone also mentioned Sam Peter, well Sam peter looks to be pretty much done at the top level. Knocked out by Helenius even quicker than Wlad did it, and helenius was supposed to be getting spanked in sparring by Haye. This is a side note though and nothing to do with anything

Chambers was ready to be ko'd at any point after the 8th round; Manny was screaming at Wlad in the corner to go for the ko which he duly obliged in the 12th. It wasn't as if Haye was eating Wlad's jab like Chambers was and, unlike Chambers, landed some decent shots and was competitive.

 

I do like Eddie Chambers but their respective performances against Wlad says it all

He can talk all he likes he's looking for a paycheck he's not gonna get, David will retire if he doesnt get a quick rematch with Wlad

 

the only interesting parts of wlads fights are stewards fits in the corners

Even while he was comfortably ahead against Haye he lost it a little.

The final round for Eddie Chambers was brilliant though.

Steward: "You cannot have another bull**** decision, it's boring. He's gonna run away so you've got to keep on him and knock him out"

You gotta take what's predicted of a British fighter on a British forum with a large pinch of salt half the time mate.

Yeah I know what you mean.I just think if people are really being unbiased they will see that Haye didnt do much better than a guy like Chambers or Chagaev.
Like i said earlier Ibragimov who was heavily criticised for his performance against Wlad(Rightly so)landed more shots on Wlad than Haye did on Saturday this is despite Haye having advantages over Sultan.If Haye wasnt English there would be no mercy shown to him on this section:-(

 

I don't believe Ibragimov landed more punches. Whats that based on, is that a subjective analysis or based on punch stats? I'd even prefer if its the former since I don't place much stock at all in punch stats.

I would watch that fight again to remind myself but...nah.

Haye = 72/290

 

Even if that was true, which I still don't give much credence to because those punchstats are just as much subject to human error as me or you claiming someone landed more punches...the fact is Ibragimov was flicking a lot of jabs at Wlad's chest that were really nothing shots at all. Whereas everything Haye threw at least had bad intentions. Perhaps too much bad intentions, his punch form was awful.
