Although he isnt as fast as the fighters on this thread i think Pernell Whitaker is an honurable mention.
Howard Davis Jr Meldrick Taylor Hector Camacho Lonnie Smith Hilaro Zapata Pernell whitaker Roy Jones Prince Naseem
A very good list. I have to go with Meldrick Taylor. By the way, if you wanna see fast hands on a heavyweight watch Michael Dokes.
Roy Jones in his prime, at 168 or 175. I forget the guys name (think he was an Australian boxer) that Roy knocked out with one punch leaning against the ropes with his hands behind his back. Had the guy knocked out before the man even touched him with his own punch.
I dont see how any of the fighters in the list could have faster hand speed than some of the great fighters between Fly weight to Bantam weight.
Zingg.... Case closed. No debate. Every single other fighter hand speed came from the arm punching. Especially MT and SRL. Calzaghe is the most pathetic puncher on the list. Every single one of Roys punches are real shots. His left hook...he turns his body with it and does not slap it.
