As usual, Team Elite leaves a pile of clueless minions completely pwned and butt-hurt beyond recovery. Love it.
That you think I'm an 'alt' speaks volumes in and of itself. Could you be any more insecure? I realize that the internet affords you an avenue to act 'gangster' without actually having to be 'gangster', but I think you'd be happier as a person without the keyboard facade.
Blah, blah, blah More mindless bull**** that has nothing to do with boxing.. Little fun fact for you.. Did you know, 46-0 one of the original founders of Team Elite once sported a Roy Jones avatar for a month courtesy of Mind Reader? Mind Reader has been owning Team Elite before you were even a member here.:rofl
Like you'd know. Didn't you also keeping saying that boz-eyed wonky-faced black redneck who got run off kept pwning Team Elite?? You fukkin clown . I pwned all, as usual. You however get your **** pushed in on a regular basis, both in the General and Classic, so you shouldn't really be posting should you.
Bailey, THE CIRCUMSTANCES WERE DIFFERENT! Joe said "There's nothing left to achieve here, and I know that I NEED to move up and fight in America, for bigger fights and recognition. They weren't BIG domestic fights, that had a ton of interest. I'm not debating how good they were as fighters. I'm not disrespecting anyone. Groves vs De Gale was on PPV as the main event, when both fighters had only had about 10 fights or so. NOBODY would have paid to watch a main event of Starie vs Reid back then, but times have changed. They had great cards back then, where they could fit those guys on. If Starie and Woodhall were just coming through now, could they be turned into PPV fighters? I'm not sure. But I think today's young fighters are more popular today than they were back in the 90's. That's just your assumption. People care, because there's good young fighters emerging, and they're in the public eye more, and get more attention. You seem to think Joe was hugely popular, but he wasn't that popular, until he'd beaten Lacy. He didn't have a huge following back in the 90's like what Froch has, and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Although to be fair, he did have to play second fiddle to Naz and Lewis etc. He may have been a lot more popular had they not been around, but he wasn't very charismatic, so it's difficult to say. Yes, that's my opinion, I have to listen to yours often enough. I cant envisage Carl Froch in 99 saying "I'm not looking for tough fights!" You have never owned me once, and neither has anyone else. Ward wasn't eager, but like I say, I don't think it was a duck. he'd just won the tournament, he was injured, and I believe he wanted a break and an easy fight or two first. I think he would have fought him down the line. It didn't need specifically building, but again, you refuse to allow for circumstances. Ward was well with in his rights, to take a break and let the fight build. Try looking from Ward's perspective. Also, the longer the fight took to make, the bigger it would have become, and that would have benefitted everyone involved. But Carl threw a huge spanner in the works. I think if Ward had thought that Carl would have had a huge chance of beating Bute, I believe that he'd have taken the Bute fight earlier. That's my honest opinion. I said it has more interest in it, and nothing more. That's right I watched them myself. But I wouldn't say he was hugely popular, and again, I don't believe he'd have sold a PPV fighting Joe as the main event, like with De Gale/Groves/Froch, but again, times have changed. Again, back then, Lewis and Naz were Britain's biggest stars, and the PPV's were better than what they are today. So things were a lot different. Joe, Reid and Woodhall etc had to play second fiddle to those guys aswell as Bruno. If those fighters hadn't have been around, then Joe etc may have got more attention, and been more popular. We've seen how popular Hatton became with less talent than Joe. Maybe Reid would have been as popular as Froch if he was around today? I don't know. I never said you did. I said you may think that. Yes, I remember them, they were great! I'd love to see them back, where for between £10-£15 you could see a great U.K. card, and then it would be joined with a big U.S. card straight afterwards. I'm 33, and can remember them clearly. I watched boxing from 7pm until 4am the following morning. My biggest gripe today, is that the undercards seem weaker. Like I say, times have changed. Of course they were co-main events. I believe that Joe fought Starie on the Tyson undercard in Manchester from 2000. The other great thing was, Sky Sports showed you everything, even the huge U.S. fights. I used to stay up and watch just all of Oscar De La Hoya's fights. If you want to see all the fights today, you have to subscribe to about 4 different channels. I'd love for those old days to return.
Please Joe.Boxer Don't post anymore quotes of Kohl saying they are unwilling to change their plans for Roy!! I don't think I can handle anymore pwnage.atsch
The best way to go about continuing this discussion would be to just ignore Joe. I've seen kids like him all over the internet and it's always the same shtick. They say their piece, then ignore anything in rebuttal and anoint themselves the greatest, undefeated and so on so forth. The only hope you can hold on to is that, for his sake, he doesn't actually believe his own crap.
We still don't know what the actual offers were from Kohl. But why would he have made three offers anyway? Roy said he wasn't going to Germany. Kohl made an offer. Roy then turned it down and repeated his stance on the matter. But then Kohl made two further offers. Why? The best bit though, is when Kohl says "If they want to stage the fight in America, then it's up to them to send us offers." So then Davis tried to get hold of them to try an d negotiate. But because Roy had turned down Kohl's offers, Kohl then purposely refused to take the calls! Ha! You couldn't make it up! What kind of businessman behaves like that? Nobody who was serious about wanting to make the fight, would have behaved in such a manner.
I honestly think they felt Roy had done damage to his name and wanted him to live with it. You have to be blind to not see in the article he posted, Kohl was clearly giving Jones the middle finger.:yep Kohl certainly isnt the do no wrong, straight shooter Joe.Boxer is making him out to be. And Roy isn't the cherry picking cereal ducker he makes him out to be, Joe.Boxer is too extreme, and not level headed enough to have a debate with.
