Winky would have been very interesting to me. Michael Nunn too, considering his size and speed. Lara caused Canelo huge issues. I’d have picked McCallum and Toney over him at MW. I’d have picked Hopkins too. Sumbu Kalambay would have been very interesting too. He was a great technician. I’d have favoured him. Ward would have been interesting at SMW. Calzaghe and Roy would have been too fast and unorthodox for him.
Ali was already great. That's why he was able to command worldwide attention for the Frazier fight He didnt really need the Foreman fight and Floyd whipped everyone in HIS era. People just dont like Floyd b/c he was perfect Whatever Leonard did, Floyd did better
That’s fine, and your opinion. I can’t argue with it as you may be correct, but we’ll never find out. But, I reiterate, Floyd was undefeated against a lot of awesome fighters. We won’t see another Floyd for a long, long time. It would be interesting to hear who you think would of defeated Floyd and why. Once again, I say, he was undefeated for a reason. A master of the art. We were lucky to be alive to witness it.
I never said Floyd couldn’t be beaten!! I said, ‘ It does make you wonder if anyone could of beaten him’
The current poll results on the Mayweather vs Hearns thread suggest that collectively the classic forum thinks there's a 93% he would have been beaten in that fight. That percentage seems about right to me.
I stand corrected. Nice one though, brings the % down from a visually displaying 93.2% to a lovely round 92% on the head.
Maybe someone should ask SRL himself how he thinks he would of got on if he fought Floyd!! He will break it down a lot better than any one of us. I have no doubt he would of thought he would of won, I am pretty sure he would admit to it being a tough assignment. Would be good to hear a few pros thoughts who have no bias because of names or eras.
