He could be, probably wont. There is not a single HOF candidate on the horizon for Inoue. And at a similar age, Manny was already fighting at 147. Having beaten several HOF´s. Inoue has one, an old Donaire. The gap in opponents quality is too big. Inoue would have to move to 135 to find someone who might get into the HOF.
Inoue a great fighter but like you said Manny @ 30 was fighting above 130.Had a colossal trilogy and quadrology with fellow greats.I dunno where they get this inoue fought amazing atg talent from..
Inoue does have himself to blame there a bit. 115 had Gonzales had Estrada, but Inoue skipped the division.
Manny Pacquiao clearly. Fighting Harada is currently the second best Asian boxer but Naoya Inoue could very well surpass him when he retires. Pac set the bar very high and it's gonna be hard for any fighter to come close to what he achieved. The most Inoue can do is to continue to dominate and perhaps go for one more undisputed run at 126.
Pac stands several head and shoulders above everybody for the last and probably next 50 years. This really isnt a hard discussion
