    Just in your opinion.
I know this is not the first time the survey like this is conducted, but there's still a question today who should really be?

I don't actually. Chavez is the greatest, but I prefer watching Morales, I find his style more appealing.

EM at his peak I feel was the best, until now but anything can change. Sanchez didn't last nearly long enough and I (could be wrong) thought he literally fought 2 top tier fighters.

Chavez is vastly over tyson'd and rjj'd.
jmm is right there but just that tad bit behind EM.

all subjective, that could be my choices of how much I liked watching them and not necessarily their talent level..

Nice post man. I pretty much agree with everything you said.

I thought Morales at his peak- when he was considered the # 1 P4P fighter- was a well rounded and highly entertaining boxer. He might be the best of the bunch at his true peak although Finito Lopez was pretty special in his own right.

Chavez Sr had an interesting career. From 1985 to 1990, he didn't fight top quality opposition too often (usually once every 3 or 4 fights as he'd go back down to MX, take on some semi-pro guys with under .500 records to help stat pad his resume while he was in his prime.) People that thought FLoyd cherrypicked taking on guys like Guerrero or Berto would've HATED what Chavez was doing with the titles back in his heyday. I will say though he upped his level of competition by the 90's- I honestly don't think he had a choice at that point anymore and couldn't keep fighting so many tomato cans during his reign.

Salvador Sanchez is always held in such high regard, but the truth is he was really young and it's hard to assess how great he could've been. He was only 23 when he had already been in some punishing fights, including his biggest win over Bazooka Joe and than following that up with a very tough win against Nelson who was rather green at the time they faced off. It was conceivable those two were going to have a rematch until Sanchez' untimely death.

My opinion: Sal Sanchez. No mexican had greater skill.

    Career wise: Julio Cesar Chavez.
