I dont agree with your assessment of Marvin Hagler. He fought all of the legitimate 160lbs that were there at the time, and historically the great fighters of the Middleweight division have fought Welterweights moving up. I don't think he was as great as Pernell Whitaker, but he shouldn't be penalized for fighting Duran, Hearns, and Leonard. His reign at Middleweight was very impressive.

Sure. He was a quality champ, but he's not even within shouting distance of Pea or Pac and that's the topic of this thread.

not within shouting distance of pac? that's giving pac a ton of credit and denying hagler a ton. hagler is at worst the second best middle of all time and proved himself immensely in his era. pac's up there to but i don't see him far ahead of hagler at all

Beating decent guys your own size, losing to a smaller man and having battle royales with a ww and a lightweight doesn't make for a great MW in my eyes.

Besides which, both RJJ and BHops would smoke Hagler. Try to picture SRL beating a MW Hard Nard.

    Yeah.

    That's what I thought.

Honestly,Bernie,do you think that Leonard beat Hagler that night when Leonard avoided Hagler for at least 6 years, waiting until Hagler was shot, which is exactly what happened?Duran, who is my favorite fighter ever, fought an overly cautious Hagler, who was pounding Duran in the 6th and backed off when it looked like he was ready to go.Hopkins was down twice against Mercado and NEVER BEAT a great middleweight ever is going to smoke Hagler?Based on what victory?Let me ask you and everyone else, why is it that Marvin, who was shot when he fought Leonard, not given the same respect that Leonard gets even though he was BLASTED OUT by light-hitting former junior lightweight Hector Camacho?

Whitaker is definitely ahead of Hagler.

I have a question about Hagler though, was he even a southpaw? I dunno, he seemed to be ambidextrous, he's like in his own category lol.

He was a very good switch hitter, but was more right hand as his right hand was the stronger, but he did fight southpaw most of the time.

Where are all the Klitschko nuts voting for Sanders?
I suppose they must have clubbed together on a bus trip to hide in the bushes outside Wlad's house with their binoculars.
