    Emile wasn't slow and ponderous?

Yes the harder puncher is emile imo, but pac has enough to force a stoppage late on :good

there's a big skill gap between Pac and Griffith.

So sluggish and tired looking it's a wonder he ever won a fight.

Griffith was only ever stopped by the massive punching (and much bigger than Pacquiao) Rubin Carter anywhere near his prime in a bit of a Nunn/Kalambay-esque fashion. What is the basis for picking Pacquiao by stoppage? If anything the further the fight goes the more it favours the much bigger, much stronger Griffith, who would absolutely man-handle Pac in close, which is where he'd be sure to force this fight.

As for the best i think Pac could beat.

I think he could still match up well with a very good cutie like Hegemon Lewis.Lewis had no real power, wasn't the most durable and seemed to like things at his own pace or being fought in a more elegant textbook manner than Pac would allow.I could see Manny earning his respect and knocking him out of rhythm enough to grind out a win.

Don't see him beating the likes of Cokes and Starling. He'd **** Starling off and suffer severely for it.Paret at his best wins too imo, though i could see him pulling that off more than some of the others listed.Paret threw tons of punches and would be a fair bit stronger though.

He could stay out of trouble against some of the more ponderous 2nd-tier huge punchers like Virgil Akins, Colin Jones, glenwood Brown etc i could also see him starched after building a big lead, mind you.

Mark Breland(but could get shockingly blown out here, if he doesn't get respect quickly)
    Johnny Saxton
    Don Jordan
    Meldrick Taylor
    Gaspar Ortega
Art Aragon(more of a lightweight really...id definitely favour him here.

A lot of these guys it depends what night you get them on though. Not many had the benefit of a pampered every fight a superfight type schedule.

Well, I changed my mind about Cokes.......his jab and great counter-punches would be very tough for Pacquiao......very tough fight,,,,

How about someone who schooled Simon Brown in Buddy McGirt? I'd pick Manny over Buddy.

he might beat Benitez just with the matching speed, which would neutralize Benitez speed. Regardless, the competition of Pacman has been great the last 3 years, but none of those guys are really in the level of SRR,Hearns,Leonard,Napoles etc. I would go with Benitez as my answer.

Or Benitez either...I disagree that pac would beat Benitez. Speed wasn't as much Benitez's forte as it was Leonard's. The radar wizardry of Wilfred would have been too much for Pac.
