It would have been the right call, had Margo's corner not been, you know, Mexican. If he was being trained by Buddy McGirt, you'd definitely get a stoppage win for Pac. ...And some water...baby.

No way in a million years is Pacquaio beating anyone with Benitez's skill level. If he beats Mayweather (he won't), I'll stand corrected.

2 say Pac stood a chance at beating Hearns or Breland is a loud fart in a sense , I think it's much worse . Nor do I think he could've beaten Starling , Brown , Aaron Davis or Quartey.
Pac vs Basilio would have been a very good fight .
I think Meldrick Taylor might have been a little 2 difficult 4 Pac but I think Pac does stand a chance .

N Pac > Pep in terms of greatness because his wins r in fact much more impressing because Pac > Pep as a more formidable fighter in his best weights due 2 him having more power and I believe that it is not Pac's only advantage .

    Barney Ross ?

If you dont think Pac could KO Hearns your crazy.

Pac is too small for Hearns to hit.

But that's not what he said. He said emile is slow and ponderous. I think that's a ridiculous claim based on the footage available.

Obviously we'll never know how the two would fare so your pick is just as good as mine.

I just think pac will tag emile too often. I envision the ref stepping in after a big attack by pacman. Unfortunately we'll never get to see this great matchup :-(

As far as being favored? I don't really care about what the masses think. Who do I think he could have beat? Maybe these guys?

    Henry Armstrong (at WW)-

During his WW title reign he lost to Lou Ambers (at LW, who he had previously beat) and drew with Ceferino Garcia (at MW, who he had previously beat at WW). Armstrong weighed in at 142 Lbs, Garcia 153 1/2.

He lost the WW title to Fritzie Zivic, L15... then lost to him again, LKOby12. he would later beat Zivic (but not for the WW title). While past prime he lost to the likes of Beau Jack and Ray Robinson.

I'm not saying Pacquiao is better than Armstrong... I'm just saying that maybe he could have beat him at WW and that Armstrong would be the best person he "could" beat at this weight. I don't think he'd have as much of a chance vs. Robinson, Ray Leonard, or Thomas Hearns. Styles make fights.

Luf, Lora was being sarcastic. He also gave an accurate rundown of how Griffith might outhustle Pac :good

Okay, guys be serious Armstrong and Griffith would both beat Pac.

Outside of Armstrong he has a good chance against the great but smaller WWs, McLarnin and Ross. Although I think McLarnin would be extremely dangerous with his punch. But I think Pac has a very good chance to overwhelm the greater Ross with speed, angles and workrate and win a close but clear decision.

So, my answer is Barney Ross.

I'm not sure he was you know. I think he believes griffith is a slow ponderous man who's only hope is to outhustle the pacman.

I think it might be a skilled competitive affair with pac overwhelming him down the stretch.

    Armstrong is a good shout.

Oscar, mosley, tito would perhaps be underdogs.
