Inoue was expected to win. Even by KO. But no one could have anticipated a first round demolition job with a handful of carefully places punches.

Linares is easily better, McDonnell is a pretty good fighter, prior to Inoue fight I thought he was very decent but he's like C+ maybe B- level. Linares is A-, B+ for me.

I also think Linares is an underachiever given his talent, man's got perfect technique and he's athletically very gifted too, shame he's mentally and physically a bit vulnerable.

Voted McDonnell - it wasn't a better win - but it was one of those rare 'WTF did I just witness' moments in boxing that stay with you. I expected Loma to do his work on Linares...

In terms of competition, Linares is definitely the better win.

In the way they were defeated, McDonnell definitely. I don’t think anyone expected that

Mcdonell punches like a pansy. Came into a fight armed with a stick against a man that has bombs in his gloves.Mcdonell is one of those guys that think he is better than he really is..I am not shocked how he lost.Jamie has a glass chin and right from the opening round the dude threw some of the saddest jabs and punches i have ever seen knew it was over.

Clearly Linares is the better win.

I thought MacDonnell was a good win , but after watching toe-to-toe , i give Inoue next to no credit for that victory.

    1. MacDonnell is an average boxer.
    2. He was so drained , he didn't have any lips left on his face.

A bum off the street could have knocked in over in the condition he was in.

I give GGG more credit for beating Vanes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not a totally unreasonable comparison but its pretty obvious its the Linares win. Ring champion, better technician, 12th fight etc McDonell is a good fighter but I think he has topped out at BW now. This will probably be looked back at as another one of those 'one fight at the weight' too many scenarios as much as anything.. Not that he'd ever beat NI but I think u get my drift. Also JL is a champion over 3 weights McDonell is regular at one.

The shoulder injury adds to its standing too.

Linares is clearly a better fighter. Beautifully balanced, athletic, accurate, great timing, snappy puncher, quick.. McDonell is decent but he doesn't have the natural attributes of JL. They are the same age but I think Linares is obviously more of a threat in terms of ability, power etc

Good win for NI but Loma takes it.

I'd agree with that. He's a fighter who's resume probably doesn't really do him justice in some ways. A level talent.. B level resume.

JM is a good B level operator.

I voted McDonnell because it was a complete destruction of someone who was supposed to be durable.

Loma basically did no better than DeMarco years earlier.
