How can Floyd be a cherry picker and Pacquiao not be one when they fought mostly the same guys over the past years. I guess Floyd needs to fight Chris Algieri

Cotto that took on Margarito x2, Floyd, Pacman, Mosley, and especially Martinez, something Floyd and Manny were too chicken to do.

I agree with this. Froch is #1 out of all those choices. He has fought against guys that could have beat him many times and he has paid the price with a few L's but he keeps on taking tough assignments.

Pac is an ok choice. Probably the best on this list.

Guys like GGG, Kovalev don't really have any stiff competition that they might lose against. GGG hasn't ducked anyone but he hasn't fought anyone either so I can't really say he isn't ducking anyone.

Canelo fought Trout, Mayweather and Lara when he could have fought others. So I give him some props. Fighting Angulo is bad and same w/ Kirkland. maybe he is becoming more of a business man after realizing how much the losses can hurt him in the pockets.

Probably Canelo... he straight up forced his teams to make fights they didn't want him to be in, to make the fights. Against fighters with little to no fanbases (Lara, Trout)

Hopkins as well, has fought everyone there is to fight... and also forced the fight with Kovalev to happen when he had plenty of excuses to not make the fight. He also fought Dawson when everyone pretty much knew it was a horrible matchup for him (I remember when people actually thought he would never fight him)

I do think Thurman would fight anyone... but the other two get nods for actually MAKING fights happen.

I think you have to go with Alvarez. I mean, he didn't have to fight Trout and Lara, but he did it even though he had to know he wasn't going to look good in those fights. He seems to just want to prove he's the best and doesn't care if he has to win ugly fights to do it. I like his attitude.

Froch used to be good about not cherrypicking and if anybody's earned the right to cherrypick it's him, but he is definitely cherrypicking as we speak.

A lot of the other guys mentioned aren't in positions to cherrypick, so they don't count. A guy like GGG for example would obviously fight anyone, but he's in the position where he kind of has to do that (though he has good character and will probably fight anyone for the rest of his career).

Cotto, Stevenson, LSC, Mayweather, and Ward come to mind as the biggest offenders in boxing. I almost want to say Khan but he has a pattern of taking a tough fight, losing, and THEN cherrypicking his way to the next tough fight. So it's not all bad I guess.

Pacquiao has had some soft matchups but they've always been plan B or C. The #1 guy won't fight him, JMM doesn't want a rematch, Schaeffer wouldn't let him fight GBP fighters, so what's he supposed to do? At least he takes the best of the limited options available to him. I would put him on the non-cherrypicker list but the catchweights ruin it for me.
