Inoues best win was past his prime. Pbf beat way better fighters than inoue beat so far. I just don't see the talent at 122 or 126 being good enough for him to do it. Who are the best fighters in those weights who are anywhere near the guys pbf beat? Hell even a guy like cotto is much better than anyone fighting at 122 or 126 right now not named inoue.

Never fought outside the US either, all his big fights in Vegas. I am just using Floyd's own criteria since he wanted Inoue to come fight in the US (which he already did 3 times when Floyd made that remark) to prove himself

Got a decision against Castillo in a fight most people think he lost

Had to run it back against Maidana

Inoue didn't need judges or refs to help him out so far, not a single fight where people thought the opponent won or any hint of controversy. When Fulton's camp tried to create controversy, Inoue waived his rights on home soil, wrapped his hands they wanted & still KO'd him

You are just going off name value. Cotto at 154 was hardly a great win beating a prime Fulton at 122 was better than Floyd fighting a past it Cotto at 154. After moving from 135 most of Floyd’s wins are against guys who were past it and he was just going off of name value. I reckon Inoue’s win over Donaire is much better than Floyd beating Mosely.

Yeah exactly. Floyd fans just trade off name value and ignore context.

One Floyd super fan here was even mentioning Gatti as a great win

I like Gatti & he was a warrior who gave us memorable fights but let's face it he blocked punches with his face & had been in many wars by the time Floyd fought him. Floyd himself called him a paper champ before he fought him & Gatti promptly became a real champ in his mind after he beat him

Gatti even got into HOF, strictly speaking its deserved because he was famous but many people seem to think HOF is Hall of Ability & make a big deal out of having HOF'ers on your resume even though its biased in favor of Americans & guys they make famous, even Wilder will get in

I doubt it Mosley was actually ranked I think he was #3 p4p when pbf beat him not to mention he just destroyed margo, a guy people claim pbf was scared of. Donaire was thought to be washed up and nowhere near any top 10 p4p list when inoue fought him the 1st time. The very fact that inoue fought donaire 2x tells me alot about the overall talent at those weights.

The cotto that pbf beat was better and more proven than Fulton. Fulton's best win is a fight alot of people here thought he lost in fig. With that said it was a good win Inoue's second best. The talent at the lower weights just isn't as good, again who are these fighters at 122 and 126 that are going to allow him to pass pbf. None of them are better than an ancient donaire or cotto.

Fulton was a world champion and many were picking him to beat Inoue. Cotto was past it and nobody was giving him a chance against Floyd yet he still gave Floyd a lot of trouble. You keep calling Donaire ancient to try and discredit the win despite him being the runner up in the super series he wasn’t just cherry picked as an opponent he earn’t the fight. I said if he cleans out 126 and 130 as he has already cleaned out 122 I don’t recall Floyd ever cleaning out a division.

But who did he beat to do it? Pbf was lineal at 2 weights simultaneously 147 and 154, 2 talent rich weights.

Cotto gave pbf some trouble because he's actually elite and much better than Fulton was or the version of donaire that inoue beat.

Easy to clean out a division full of c+ and b- level guys. where are the elite fighters? Where's the rigos? Where's the lomas down there? There are none and that's why he won't surpass pbf because despite the fact he will look impressive beating the likes of Luis nery at 122 and Rafael Espinoza at 126 it simply won't cut it because they're not elite fighters they're just top fighters in weak divisions. There's no atgs let alone hof fighters at those weights.
