    I remember the rematch with Maidana he went looping with hugs before Maidana even set to punch & did it several times in the fight, no point deductions or warnings per usual.

    Fighters who are constantly bending the rules don't get as much credit in my book for winning especially if they are fighting on home turf & avoiding point deductions because of that

    Just because refs are afraid to enforce the rules doesn't mean constant clinching is part of boxing any more than rabbit punches, stiff arming (like Anaguchi was doing to Tsutsumi), holding & hitting, pushing, & throwing elbows are

    Inoue hardly ever initiates clinches, the first Donaire fight when he got rocked & the Tapales fight are the few times I have seen him do it & iirc Donaire didn't let him clinch much after he rocked him

    Mayweather was always fascinating to watch but obviously lower down in weight he could hand out some whoopings, nowhere near the scale of Inoue but we should show some respect which I doubt this thread was created for lol.
