Inoue has a more exciting style but most of his fights are one sided with no drama and he hasn't fought the level of competition Mayweather has.

I actually find Mayweather/Corley, Mayweather/Chavez, Mayweather/Ndou, Mayweather/Augustus, more exciting than any of Inoue's fights outside of the first Donaire fight which had more back and forth and some drama.

Pretty boy Floyd at 130 was a lot more exciting and more offensive minded fighter than people remember

This is the sort of thread MVC would start but he'd be crowing that Floyd was the greatest thing since sliced bread ROFL. Its like chalk & cheese Inoue seems unbeatable at the weight very skillful fighter, whereas Floyd was compared to sitting watching paint dry or grass grow , much like Come Dancing is, Plus Inoue has never needed the help of friendly judges to ensure he never loses or a friendly Commission to cover his very suspect actions Its a landslide victory for the great Inoue

3 guys from the gym went to watch Floyd-Baldimir they said by round 8 many people from ringside got up & left They were saying Floyd picked Baldimir over Margarito because he knew he was nothing, they all agreed Floyd was lucky he never picked Margarito, who the fans wanted, because if he had he'd have got his butt whipped & he knew it

PBF was an offensive beast in his own right, but Inoue is an offensive monster. There's a difference.

I'm in the minority but for as much as I love Inoue, Floyd's prime was 2nd to none in entertainment.

You have to talk about the Zab Judah fight and the legitimate WWE melee that ensued. You have to talk about the literal "perfect game" (baseball equivalent) of a fight against Gatti. You have to talk about the DLH fight which was boring AF...but Floyd created the 24/7 series and that literally changed the sport ! You have to talk about the Mosley hype after the JMM fight or the Ortiz debacle or the countless interviews and PR/hype between Floyd and Manny. There was the mastery against young Canelo and the feeling of mortality and vulnerability against Cotto in the latter stage of their careers. Floyd was very entertaining even if his boxing matches were usually uneventful.

Margarito was a TR fighter and Floyd never fought a TR fighter after he bought of the contract. That is primarily why the fight didnt happen imho

Im a fan of both their styles for different reasons. I actually think young Floyd was very exciting. Id still say Inoue is more exciting but I can understand someone saying 130-140 pound Mayweather.

As far as 147-154 Mayweather and Inoue I dont really see that being close as Inoue is way more exciting.

Even in his second iteration, Mayweather/Cotto, Mayweather/Maidana 1 were objectively very good and entertaining fights. Mayweather/Ortiz was well on its way even before Vic lost his mind.

When Mayweather was fighting guys like Diego Corrales before Mayweather started having hand issues he was more exciting than Inoue and far more skilled too.

Floyd was more entertaining when he was lighter then when he was at 140 - 154. But even that version was not nearly as exciting to watch as Inoue.

If Floyd Mayweather was fighting in my back yard I would get up and close the curtains.
