George Foreman hating on Lewis during Holyfield I
and BOTH Merchant and Lamprey bashing him.

Foreman saying 'MAN IF ONLY LEWIS WILL BEND DOWN'
and Merchant is like 'wait? George you want Lewis to bend down into a HOLYFIELD PUNCH? is that what you want George? You want to keep the title in the colonies?

    start from 54:48

Here is more Foreman hating and Larry Merchant putting him in his place.

'LEWIS IS DOING TOO MUCH HOLDING TOO MUCH HOLDING ON TYSON'

and Merchant replied 'George, he's also been punching the crap out of him'

    start from 19:34

and of course the INFAMOUS Hopkins fight against TIto.

Hopkins was DESTROYING TRINIDAD and ****ing him up, and all George Foreman was saying was how great Tito's power and skills are.
The entire fight, no praise for Hopkins, all Tito nut huggery.

Foreman on that list seriously? Foreman was a great commentator and brought balance to the HBO broadcast that is currently missing by looking from the perspective of the underdog. He did this for Tyson when he fought Lewis as well. An Foreman "biased" against Lewis. I will direct you to 30 seconds in this:

Also- you can make this a good thread by presenting some of the better gems from them all. Further, you don't even have Steward on here- he always favors the HBO fighter early on- like before a punch is thrown as seen in the Pacquiao Marquez fight, the Pacquiao Bradley fight, the Khan Peterson fight, the Khan Rodriguez fight and many many more..

I'm not going to do the leg work for you bro... you gotta get ur **** together before you make a thread on an interesting topic like this, right now I feel gypped.

whats the big deal? every broadcast of any sport has bias announcers. its not like they are news reporters reading news off a teleprompter....they get paid to talk and voice opinions.

Thank you very much for the insightful comments man.

I wasn't thinking, I made a **** load of threads. It's my addiction. This was actually a great topic but I messed it up. I didn't really meant to call Foreman bias, I was just re watching Lewis-Holyfield and listening to Foreman I realized he really did have 'favorites' for most of his fights.

It's all good man- Like I said the topic is spot on. For the guy that said "it doesn't matter, they are payed to do that" I respectfully disagree. They are payed to have a bias for the HBO guy and its getting more painful to watch. Recently, they've been exposed through Pacquiao's recent performances (particularly Steward before a single punch was thrown-- note he did this in the Linares fight as well). In the Pacquiao-Marquez fight, Kellerman of all people, seemed to be the only voice of reason. Like I said, plenty of hilarious gems to pull from this, but it will take some effort. :good

I mean for **** sakes all that bitching about how this was not a close fight only to end in saying that ****... mother ****er needs to go

Lampley for me. He sounds more like a fanboy than a commentator.

I'd agree with that, he does call punches that never land for 'his guy' who he's shouting for and ignores the ones 'his guy' takes.

He even strikes up conversation when the 'other guy' has success.
