This thread is about opinion, not fact. Charisma is looked at in many different ways, and many are choosing a fighter based on popularity.

Yeah, Ali was no doubt the most popular boxer ever. He was the most influential boxer ever. But that in no way means he automatically is the
    most charismatic because of it.

I chose DLH, but now that I really think about it, I am making my choice based on his popularity as well. Arturo Gatti is a man who could keep you watching, and was generally liked by everyone.

Just an example, but there is no real answer to this thread, just opinion. :good

    Ali hands down...

Think about this. Ali is as famous as a Pope or a world leader when you think about it and from a international stand point.

Sugar Ray Leonard, ODLH, etc are all good and into this discussion but Ali is in another world.

I'd say Tyson is as famous as a Pope or world leader, too.

Basically, I think this debate is down to two men - Tyson or Ali.

No other boxer has ever commanded such huge interest or media attention during or after their fighting careers, and probably never will.

Tyson for me, is a more interesting character, with such a complex personality (disorder?!) you never know what's coming next, but you can never ignore him. Ali is obviously a huge icon as well, but I'm just more intrigued by, and more empathetic towards, Mighty Mike.

Does anyone here know the definition of charisma?

If you did, you would laugh at the idea of it this answer being anything but Muhammad Ali.

I don't know how old you are, but it says you reside in London, so I'll go there instead. To call Ali a racist, is bizarre. Racism begins with ignorance and is imposed by POWER. Black people in AMERICA don't have any power (even though we now have a Black President). I don't know what version of history you were taught, but obviously it didn't include the unabashed truth.

Sexist, I'll give you that one, but I'll add that he's not alone. Disrespectful towards his fellow fighters, this was mostly marketing. Hate and racism sold most of his fights as white americans would pay to see him lose.

This man went to jail and lost his earning capacity for his beliefs (illegally I might add). One of the best quotes of the civil rights movement was delivered by this man, "Aint no Viet Cong every call me ******".

He has done more charitable works than any other athlete in history and is adored by millions, so before you call someone a twat or bloke, study up...

    GOD Bless:bbb

To end this conversation between these TWO, if you asked Tyson, he'd say ALI.:bbb
