Serious question. Does this take into account the 4 rapes and questionable lingerie modeling by ODLH? I realize the victims were threatened into submission (hiding) by the Mexican Mafia. No hate here, just a simple question regarding issues covered by only by the LA media (until they were forced to cease coverage)...:bbb

You may be right, you may not.

However, what Tyson thinks doesn't necessarily mean he's right, either, does it?!

    noun

The power or quality of attracting: allure, allurement, appeal, attraction, attractiveness, call, charm, draw, enchantment, enticement, fascination, glamour, lure, magnetism, witchery. Informal pull.

Tyson and Ali both fit the bill.

I just happen to be drawn more towards Mike than Ali.

This really isn't even debatable..Ali is the most charismatic sports figure ever. His interviews with Howard Cosell were legendary. He was the single greatest marketing machine for boxing. His unique stance on various topics, his defiance, his other worldly confidence, his poetry and proclamations on when his opponents would go down, etc., made him truly one of a kind.....

LMAO @ the thread poster for seemingly picking a random word to start a thread about his favorite boxer!

Dude, you would have been better off just posting "That Mike Tyson was SOMETHING wasn't he?"

Yep, I'd agree he was SOMETHING. But it is not "charismatic.":deal

In their prime -- a much simpler time (when only baseball shared the headlines with boxing) -- Joe Louis 'n Ray Robinson, were true sports heroes, not just boxing heroes. Jack Dempsey had that aura till he died.

Whatever one thought of Ali, his picture would have to be next charisma in the dictionary.

Probably Floyd Mayweather Jr. As much as I dislike his public persona, he's the face of boxing right now.
