Well, Ali represented his people and stood up for them:deal. Tyson got convicted of ****:hat.

The ability to draw people in a positive way is called charisma.:yep You can draw people in a negative way too, hence Floyd. :hey

Either way, it is attractive and is good for the sport.:happy

  8. I dont know..for me the answer to "who do other people think was the most charismatic boxer" is different to my own personal opinion. As far as the public is conscerned, Ali, Naz, Hatton and DLH seem to be the most charasmatic. Personally I find all those guys abhorent. Kostya Tszyu is my no.1.

Well, frankly, you just described the man who you nominated in the first place.

I'd have to go with cool Ray Robinson and despite his unpopularity with bigots, Jack Johnson had a certain sense of charismatic charm.

America hated Ali. Those who picked him are either very young, have no sense of history, or have short memories. I'm old enough to remember when little kids talked boxing, and knew who most of the champs were. I argued on the school bus that Cassius Clay would beat Sonny Liston, and was the subject of daily ridicule. Most People bought tickets to Ali's fights, and tuned in the TV, hoping to see Ali get his ass kicked. Ali borrowed most of his persona from the great heel wrestlers of the day, and very effectively became "the man ya love to hate."
