Vitali Klits has the best chin I've seen in a while. I saw lennox lewis hit him with some of the most BRUTAL SHOTS I have ever seen in my life and he wouldn't let himself be hurt. Even after the boxcutter slice he had over his eye, he wanted to continue and would have defeated lewis. Lennox did the smart thing and retired. Also Nigel Benn, Julio Ceasar Chavez, Marvin Hagler, John (boring man) Ruiz, Paul Williams, Glen Johnson ect.....
If Ruiz wins then he'll be holding on to the WBC title until we're in retirement homes or pushing the daisies. He'll ride his wheelchair right to his opponent and hug them to a SD win.
Pretty sure that was a joke Another vote for Wayne McCullough, dont think that guy was ever off his feet in the ring.
The guys with the most durability from this era are James Toney, Wayne McCullough and Oliver McCall IMO. Toney is overweight and 40+ years old, and he goes toe-to-toe with heavyweight punchers like Peter and Rahman, and doesn't come close to getting stopped. In time, his supernatural durability will be more appreciated than it is now. McCullough has absorbed more horrendous beatings and refused to budge than any other boxer I've ever seen. McCall gets a special mention because he takes heavyweight punches and never shows any damage.
yeah mcCullogh, steve collins, chavez snr, juan laporte, hagler, mccall. mercer, but probaly jake lamotta, boxing was harder back then
Wayne McCullough, Steve Collins and John Duddy are three Irish fighters that can take serious punishment and still manage to win fights.
ill take steve an definitly wayne first to go twelve with prince both did it aaginst high level opponets butt duddy still suspect lost to billy lyell an hasnt faught any body to date except an old version of campos in ill say uderrated excellent fight but definitly needs higher level fights to be considered one of most durable fighters
