This is inspired by the "fight of the decade" thread. I'm listing the fighters along with thier most notable exciting slug fests Erik Morales - Barrera x 3, Chi, Chavez, Hernandez, Pacquiao x2 (the third one was too short and one sided), Diaz. Marco Antonio Barrera - Morales x 3, Marquez, Juarez 1, Hamed, Pacquiao 1 Manny Pacquiao - Morales x 2, Barrera 1, Marquez x 2, Hatton (despite being short and one sided it was just such a spectacular KO), Cotto Miguel Cotto - Corley, Judah, Margarito, Torres Other Candidates, Gatti (I know I'll catch **** for not making him a first choice but if you really look at it aside from the Ward fights most of his excitment was in the 90's. Vargas, Trinidad, DLH, Mosley etc etc etc. Feel free to make a case for your guy if you feel he should have been included in the poll
It's like a 3way tie between the top the 3. Only think that puts PAC out in front is his weight-jumping knock outs.
Erik Morales is by far the most exciting fighter this decade, I expect Pac to win the vote tho - dont ask me why  I expect Morales & Pac to walk this poll & leave the rest for dead, the reason Morales is more exciting than Pac & the rest of the pack is because he had the beautiful technique of a Barrera, threw every punch in the book extremely well, but had the mindset of a Pacquiao, he always got into wars when he didnt have to. Difference is, Pac fights like that because thats his strength & it gives him the best chance of victory due to his speed & power, Morales was best as a distance boxer that used his great feet & jab to set **** up but he gave us a treat & Im glad he did have that mindset... you get the best of both worlds with Morales. Morales was the man of the decade for me, no doubt.
Why are you so defensive if someone were to pick Pacquiao? :huh Your argument is that Morales is like Pacquiao, but I got news for you Pacquiao is Pacquiao. :rasta
Don't see the sense in this post. You've come up with an arbitrary definition of "exciting" that flatters Morales. Somehow morales' "technique" puts him out in front. What about the PAC's superior power?
Not defensive, just that there are more Pac fans on ESB than any other fighter so I expect Morales to finish 2nd behind Pacquiao.... for me tho, Morales had at least as many exciting wars as Pac has had but his boxing technique was better, my 2 fav things in boxing are great fights & great technique.
Some fans prefer power, I love technique, its a personal thing. If you want to vote Pac, go ahead, Morales gets my vote & easily.
